between 70-80 hours lol... and the XM8 and 870 Combat shotgun only took me about 5 days each to get all the stars and the M29 took around 2 and a half weeks
Change title plox, bring back for lulz and discussion now that the game is out. I'll start. At one point in the campaign (names of missions and characters kept secret for spoiler sake) a character totally calls out MW2. He says, and I am paraphrasing since I don't remember the exact line, "They'll probably send in some Spec Ops assholes with ***** Heartbeat Sensors to do the job". I lol'd.
So I finished the Campaign a little while ago, twas good. Nothing super special, but not bad at all. Then I went back and got some Comm stations that I missed for the achievements. When that was all said and done I ate some lunch and sat down all comfortable-like and got ready for some serious multiplayer. Ok, Multiplayer....check... Umm, quickmatch only? Ok whatever...check... Ok, Rush mode...searching...searching...*No games available at this moment. We couldn't find any games, please try again* What? Really?? Ok no biggie...try Conquest....searching...searching....*No games available at this moment. We couldn't find any games, please try again* What the ****? And on and on and on through all of the modes and their maps. Apparently there is either nobody playing, which is highly unlikely, or something is broken. Either way, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!
It's the infamous EA servers. It's really unfortunate that Battlefield needs to be tied to such awful servers, but that's the way it is. That kind of thing usually fixes after a couple of minutes, but yeah, it sucks. I beat the campaign yesterday (nothing special, but alot of fun), and now trying to finish off the single player achievements, I've only got a couple left (M-Com station ones). Multiplayer is AMAZING.
I figured as much. One thing though as far as the M-Comm stations, I missed 8 of them and went back level by level trying to find all of them. After I found 6 I got the achievement. So on the last level that has Comm's (I forget the name) I only unlocked 2 of 4. I didn't see the need to search out the others since I got the achievement, but let me know if you get the same little glitch. I played the game on hard, I don't know if that has anything to do with it though. Most likely not.
Does anybody know the exact locations of all the M-Comm stations? One last question, I need a squad!? I feel so uneasy when I dont play with a trusted and capable squad. I only play with one person whom I meant in the beta. I need to find more reliable, and above all, "good" squadmates!
OK, is the campaign really short? My friend just finished it in around 4-5 hours, he got it today. . .
Yeah it's short. I played on hard, which extends it a bit but 8 hours or less isn't out of the question. As long as you don't care about seeking out collectibles and Comm stations. I finally got into multiplayer and in all honesty I haven't been impressed yet. I only played for a half hour and I am going to give it more time, but I dunno. We'll see. Maybe my play style isn't tuned to the slower team based progression type games. I just like to get in, kill some fools, and level up. I can see why it would be so awesome, but I'm not sure it's the type of awesome I enjoy.
It grows on you after a while. I remember when I got 1943 I was like "WTF this is gay" But I gave it a chance for a bit. You'll learn to feed on "Getting xp" rather than kills. It's enjoyable.
It's....so......hard..... After a half of a lifetime worrying about kills (Wolfenstein 3D And Doom to Golden Eye and Perfect Dark to Halo and CoD) it feels so weird to have to do other things besides shoot nubs in the ass.
IMO, Bad Company was always a lot more fun when you play witha group of friends. If you play with random squads who doesn't have mics as well, just makes the game boring... Has anyone notice that you get the Blackout achievement without even having to get all of the crates? Im still missing 2 crates, but I still got the achievement...
You must play with a squad. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of Battlefield and it's just not fun. It's been the same for all of them.
If anyone wants an expert chopper flyer, I'm the guy. Send me a friend request. I'm not too impressed with multiplayer mainly because its hype died with the demo. I only have fun when I'm doing good and I absolutely hate it when I get killed by some rank 17+ with 12x optics and spot assist scope. Hate it.
Inspeaking of Recons with the 12x and spot scope, I think the GOL is just ugly up close. and when I was driving a black hawk yesterday some guy shot me with a gernade launcher in mid air and I think you can assume what happened. =( (lucky shot)
I love the Type 88 with a 4x or Red Dot scope. I become an offensive sniper, and am out-shooting Medics or Engineers at pretty close range. For most other sniping situations I use the M24 with a 12x scope. I like the cross-hairs for it better than the Type 88 or the 3rd sniper, and I'm pretty good with it. Although I just unlocked the 4th sniper so I'll have to give it a try. What's your guys' favorite gametype? I find myself playing a lot of Rush, because of the map sizes and how I can change up my play style often in a single round depending on what situations arise.
