Well, if your like me you love Rainbow Six Vegas and Halo 3. Now I myself have been wanting to make a few Maps and a Game Type for it on Halo 3. I've been playing more Rainbow Six Vegas than Halo lately and have finally achieved the perfect settings in my mind. I have yet to test them on Halo 3 however. I have some nice plans for it, I will need one partner at the least. So here are the basic details. Terrorists would be the Zombies. 3-4 respawns depending on how this would work out. 75% of players spawn infected. The "Operatives" would spawn with a magnum and a Battle Rifle. The "Terrorists" would spawn in a room with 4-5 sender nodes, 5-10 different weapons, and possibly a few other things. Maps would be industrial like, or urban with vehicles as aethetics. Games would have 4 rounds, rotating 16 players thoughout the roles. There would be multiple paths, but if you stay in one area to long you would get flooded by Terrorists. "Operatives" would have higher damage resistance and they would deal more damage prer shot. "Terrorists" would have slightly lower damage resistance and deal less damage per shot, but would have numbers on their side. Thats really all I put down for now. I'm looking for a partner who owns either Vegas one or Two, and plays it often. They need to be able to comprehend the game play in Vegas, and put it into Halo with a flowing manner. I hope you see that this has a chance. -Mark
This sounds like a very good idea. Reminds me a bit of Team Zlayer. Recreating the flow of R6 will be tricky because of the rappeling used. Do you plan on recreating this or using a different system?
I am thinking Turret Jumping like in puzzle maps. Seriously, I need someone to do this with me. I'm getting on Halo for a bit, then off to Vegas 2. My Vegas one broke.
Hey i'd be happy to help, I consider my self an experienced forger and I love Rainbow six Vegas =] GT: The Haptic
Great! I've got you, a friend, and myself on this. I hope to make a test map for the game type soon, it will be a quick made map.
Well everyone. It's happening, I've started the first map I plan to make, it's on Longshore. It is based around the side with the bridge, and employs a large amount of homemade structures. The basic feel id that of an underused dock, where Terrorists have been sneaking in bombs. It should hold 12+ players perfectly fine, especially the way it's looking. The game type is also in base development. I plan to get the second one up in construction on Rat's Nest with a loading bay and accompanying structures. Blocking off roughly 60% of the map.
Jerk. Why wasn't I told about this. Jerkity jerk, I was in a freaking skype chat with you for like 4 hours a day for the past few months and I've heard nothing about this. You're failing your job as a *****. In all seriousness, I could think of quite a few different ways to make sort of a rappelling line and whatnot.
I've always wanted to do this, but was always too lazy to do so. Your settings sound reasonable, along with your idea for the map, so good luck. I'd reccommend adding in a VIP game-type to support Team Leader, which shouldn't be too hard to do.
Multi, I asked you if you wanted to do this in October last year. You said it was impossible, and you refused me. Anyways, do share you rappelling ideas. @AGamer, I'm starting with just Terrorist Hunt for a while, I'll incorporate the Multi Player game types later.
@multilockon: wow that would be so insulting if you werent friends (you are right?) Anyway, this sounds like a really nice idea. If you want I have a map on Longshore which I never finished. It has a lot of structures created and parts of the map blocked off. If you want to have a look at it I could put it up in my file share.
