So, after seeing feedback on this thread, I really want to give this a shot. So, I thought I'd post the info here, try it out, and see how it goes for potentially the future.

What I'll be doing is going over some map design mentality, that is to say the way you think ingame or in general about design. This is particularly useful if you want to review maps critically, or just be able to think about design in the proper sense instead of a more aesthetic and random way.

What I don't want are people are are disruptive, annoying, or closeminded. I'm not going to be giving you the Forge tips that'll have you Forgin' like a pro. What I'll be doing is starting out by defining an element of design, showing some examples from Bungie maps (or other well-known developers), and then asking hypothetical questions, forcing you to think, not to sit dumbly at your computer screen, copying whatever the other guy does or whatever's popular. Hopefully. The focus will be on player movement, but the idea is to build overall design mentality.

So, if you're openminded enough and really care to learn about this, I'll probably be doing it on Sunday the 28th, 8 PM EST (to set a random time, this will probably be changed). You'll need Skype and a Skype account, both free. You will not need a mic or camera, we will be doing it on text chat. If you get an account, go and add me (Insane540, with the zero) and when the time comes I'll add all the guys to a chat and begin. Other optional things, but are good to have, is having your Xbox next to you and able to be in the map while we speak about it. A scanner and paper is also good to have, but I may not get into that area, not sure at the moment.

Remember to post here with your Skype tag, too, so I don't forget to add you.

Comments, questions, whatever, below please :)

Just asking out of curiosity, can you boot someone if they are disruptive?

I should be able to, yes. As far as I know you can't set moderators, but I can't think of a better way that lets me log the chat...would be a minor inconvenience to have to boot disruptive kids personally, but nothing major I think.

Edit: Not going to be doing this unless there's some want for it...will need at least 5 people there.

    Here you go

Also reminds me I need to schedule a new class, the last one was pretty fun and I've been waiting till MLG Columbus was over (last weekend) to make the next one.
