That's because cod is not realistic. Here do a test, put on 2-3 jumpers on you with weights hanging off and try spin as fast as a Bugatti wheel like you do in cod.

    I don't understand?

Well a game can't be "realistic" and fun at the same time. There has to be some sort of arcadeness to it.

But BFBC:2 is a whole lot more realistic in terms of gravity's effect on projectiles. It makes sniping that much fun and rewarding. Being able to spot out enemies, calculate your distance, and pulling that trigger makes sniping in BC2 more fun than MW2...

I beg to differ. Have you ever played America's Army for the PC?

i do agree with insane. but i do enjoy battlefield bad company 2's sniping mechanics and the rewards of sticking to your squad. also to anybody who doesnt know, in the bad company demos (plural) your experience, rank and weapons that you unlock carry over into the real game... just so you know

I've never had to put my crosshairs above someone's head (using the vertical tick markers on the scope) to kill them at long distances. Maybe the map isn't large enough

I've noticed the bullet drop is very subtle... It's only apparent to me when I'm sniping people that destroyed the first base from the far back of the second.

If you are at A at the first base and are sniping the hill, you need to snipe about one head above their head.

sniping uphill is where you have to worry about bullet drop. downhill, just aim and shoot.

No, not really. You still sort of have to aim just above their heads a little.

No not really, When I played the BC1 demo and bought the game, none of my unlockables, scores, stats, etc were transfered over. So I highly doubt it would happen in BC2. IMO, its an advantage to the people who haven't played the game.

There are already people who has played over 125 hours in the game and is nearly close to reaching the 4th lvl. Players were never meant to reach the 4th lvl in the demo...

yeah, well it would be cool.
i hope that guns are easier to get in the full game... it takes me a couple hours to get like one new gun. when there are a bajillion it will be ridiculous.
what does the little ball you can throw as a sniper do?

alerts you if enemies walk near it. so its like an alarm if you throw it behind you.

I think it's a motion tripmine. When it's deployed, a bleeping circle is created on your minimap, and any enemy walking in that circle shows up on radar. If any enemy gets lose to the actual ball thingy, it explodes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, haven't played the demo as much as I'd liked.

The little thing you throw as a sniper is a motion detector. It automatically spots enemies that come within its range.

Agreed. I would have liked to be able to keep my stats because I have about 200 kills and a 1.6 KD so yeah. But I agree, a demo is for learning the game and having a small part of it and so many people downloaded the demo and lots wont buy the game, it would waste a database.
