YESTERDAY, Starcraft 2 BETA came out!! Unfortunately, it's a CLOSED Beta, and only a certain amount of people will be able to play. I'm very sad because I didn't get one. THERE IS HOPE!! Blizzard says that they're going to be doing BETA Releases in Waves, so if you and I don't get one now, we could get one later. To sign up for this BETA, is all depending on your Computer Stats. I have an really good computer and haven't been picked (I can run Crysis and it's smooth as hell) , so the better your computer is probably won't give you a higher chance. Signed up a while ago for the Beta but didnt get lucky. Looks like a great game. Hope i get in in one of the next waves.

So I just signed up to be part of a development team. Turns out blizzard will be picking premium maps which will not be free. I will help my team code in the C language Blizzard is producing/using. I plan to develop my coding skills, and provide quality maps to the Starcraft community at the same time. Should be fun. So now, I have Starcraft and Reach competing for my time. Who do you guys think is going to win?
Sounds sweet. If you get a code, don't use it! Just read earlier on Kotaku, that their selling for over $300 on ebay! I won't sign up, even tough I do like RTS games
$300 or a chance of a lifetime to play SC2? Be realistic now, SC2 has been delayed countless times, and it's probably going to be delayed again because now people are getting balancing issues with Terran and Zerg, being overpowered while Protoss is WAY underpowered. Spoiler Terran has this unit called the Reapers, which cost 50 Gas and 50 Minerals, and they're WAY overpowered. 40DMG as a Tier 1 Unit to BUILDINGS!! About 10+ of them, and a rush and you win. =/ @Xylom : I hope you get either job, if you get any news on SC2 let me know pl0x. :3 I think SC2 will take up more of your time IMO, Reach has been in production since ODST, and knowing Bungie, they're not going to listen to anyones opinion, so they'll just release shortly after the BETA. Whereas, I've seen Blizzard REALLY get down to people's opinions and get stuff done right away. =/
I managed to get my hands on a version of the beta, though so far i have only been able to watch replays. The graphics are amazing, and my computer can handle everything on Ultra settings, though if i change the 'shaders' setting to anything but low, it lags like hell, even if i have all of my other settings on low. from some of the replays ive seen, Terran seems to be the dominant race. I've only seen one protoss win and one zerg win. For the terrans, the Hellion seems to be the unit of choice with some siege tanks and marines to back it up. In later game, i often see thors and battlecruisers as well. Not much else really. the zerg have some units with some really interesting abilities, but i have yet to see someone really take advantage of them. Ultralisks are amazing btw. For Toss, the best units are really the immortals, the high templar, and archons.
I'm putting my money on illicitly obtained. I'd also guess that's how he got into signatures by downloading Photoshop in the same manner.

I've been waiting for SCII for forever. I was super-hyped about it, but now its just taking too long. When I purchase a new game I usually get really excited to play it. As much as I would like to play the beta, I wouldn't get the same feeling when I purchase it in retail stores.
