Yesterday with Shock, Orangey and Sarge, I got two AC-130s from care packages in the the same game ^.^
sarge just told us. but i dont use care packages. i go for a predator missile, attack helicopter, pavelow. it gets me the most kills.
Goin back to the days of cod4, on my mac lol... Bein grounded from xbox has taken it's toll on me. But I was playing at my friends house and I haven't lost my magic touch with the intervention(but I'm getting rusty)
im having bad days wit teh intervention recently. i just cant get the kill. idk, i just need to warm up usually. quickscope matches anyone?
How does an attack helicopter get you kills. I usually shoot those down before they shoot at anyone and even get inside the map. Even pavelows get shot down really quickly.
Cobras aren't as scary as they were in CoD4. I blow'em out the sky before they even reach the map. My setup is, Harrier Strike, Chopper gunner, Nuke. Harrier strike, imo, is very effective. The bombing of the first 2 Harriers can get you at least 2 kills if placed right, then the last Harrier can get you the last 2 kills for AC-130 or Chopper Gunner. If the enemy isn't vigilant, the Harrier can cause major damage, plus there's a chance that it'll pop a flare if fired at by a stinger or javelin.
so, i was running around quickscoping earlier, and got a 360 collateral triple. i saw a bunch of people, jumped down from the catwalk on subbase, scoped in and boom! triple! if it waited one more kill it would have been game winner.
Too bad you get more hitmarkers with the Intervention than the Barret because of how **** it's hit detection is.
I must be extremely lucky then, because that 1 game on Rundown the care package items I received were: 2 Ac-130, 1 EMP.
I got my 2 EMP challenge from care packages. Happened within 3 or 4 days. I never even knew you could get EMPs from care packages until then. I don't even really find EMPs that threatening honestly. Every time my team gets hit with one, I'm like, wow this isn't as bad as the second highest killstreak should be.
Thing is with the EMP is, not only does it disrupts your radar, hud, and equipment, it also destroys anything in the sky, meaning friendly and enemy aircrafts, and prevents anyone from using their killstreaks rewards... It would be more effective if it stops communication with the enemies team. I like the EMP, I always used it when I first played CoDMW2. Its stupid how the EMP only effects the enemies hud and weapons. If a nuke kills everyone, including friendlies, then the EMP should affect friendlies as well...
Actually, the Intervention and the .50 Cal both have the same power and the same damage multiplier, therefore making an argument of power just a personal preference. The Barrett's recoil also resets faster than the Intervention's bolt action which makes for a quicker follow up shot. And when you are in a situation when hard scoping is clearly the better choice over quick scoping, the Barrett has only 2/3 the amount of sway as the Intervention meaning that the scope will steady quicker when holding your breath. And while you are right that it takes not as much skill to spam the .50 Cal, it is still an advantage that it has over the Intervention. I could care less about how that makes me a "noob," I got the kill and that is all that counts.
It already does anyway, No one can use their killstreaks rewards if an EMP is out. Might as well go all the way and have the EMP affect the owner of it and his teammates. Like some of you said, the EMP really doesn't restrict anyone too much. For example," oh wow, my red dot's gone..." Why don't IW up the reality of their so called "realistic" game and have the EMP affect friendlies...
