ok im looking for a simple capture card that so i can recored from halo 3, MW2 or other games. I hope to get one which is very clear, HD switchable meaning i can switch when i want to record HD or SD. I also need a editing program.

So what capture card do i need and i also need what parts and stuff i need to run it. i have a windows xp so i need to be able to run the editing program on that.

In the near future im buying a gaming computer ( Custom built ) i need it to be able to play starcraft 2 on ultra high graphics, and like Cysis which i have and only can play it on low.

My pricing range for the computer is $1500-$2500

My pricing range for the capture card $100-$300

    Thanks everyone who comments

Depending on your pereference, there are two HD options really,
    The Hauppage HDDVR (external)
    The Black Magic Pro (internal)

I'm on my iPod so it is hard for me to get links for you, but they would only require a quick google search.

Dude, you are WAYYYY out of tune with technology.

I have a Dazzle DVC-100 (Black), it's not the greatest capture card out there, but it's got decent quality. I also have Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 14, I haven't been able to really use it yet but I am planning too.

Also, for the computer's Graphics Card, I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 that is just amazing, I can run Fallout 3 in Ultra-High Graphics, I don't have Crysis so I can't tell you for that. For the Starcraft 2, I can't wait for the damned game to come out -- if it ever will be coming out, that is.

Yeah Starcraft 2 looks pretty mad i hope it's still like the old one released 12 years ago, i was 4 years old when it came out and i played it when i was 4 lol. i didn'tt really tire of until some other games i just had to have like halo 1 lol.

Im not out of wack with technology i just haven't herd u could have internet on your ipod. The ipad looks alright but im not buying it.

With my Computer it will be mad because my cousin job gets him new computer parts at half price so i could buy and $3000 computer for $1500 which is pretty mad. Also you have to get Cysis it is totaly mad if you have a awesome computer that is number 1 on my list atm.

Definitely a Hauppage HD PVR, a great card that works for windows and mac systems(in case you decide for a mac, but you won't seeing as you need a gaming comp)
Hauppauge Computer Works Online Store- Hardware

It's a bit more technical than the average cap card, but I've heard wondrous things about this baby, I'm looking to get one for myself soon.
