The way I choose my sniper scope depends on the map. (duh I know) Personally I would choose Thermal on maps such as Wasteland and Scrapyard. With Wasteland, it can be rather difficult to spot the oppositions snipers, the white really does stand out in the very dark landscape such as Wasteland. On Scrapyard, I use the thermal but linger around the side of the map with the burning fuel tanks. I use that side because the thermal will allow me to see down the entire side of that map while I'm concealed by the smoke from the fuel tanks. I never use acog, because I think it depletes the sniper mentality. D: k. Anyone else looking for 1v1 matches???? Nobody ever wants to 1v1 on MW2.....
1V1 matches on COD fail. D: And yeah, I agree. I often pop a smoke when I have a thermal scope on, because I'm a nub like that. And yeah, ACOG would be better if the outer parts of the vision were blurred, would be muuuuuuuuch better. Edit: I just realized I say "and yeah" soo ****ing much.
I use a normal scope for all maps. The only attachment I use is FMJ, heartbeat sensors, or extended mags. At least for snipers. I don't mind the other attachments, but I feel nooby when I do use them.
regular scope! and i want extended mags for my intervention so bad, i was 3 kills away from a nuke and ran out of ammo
I started using the FAMAS yesterday. Got 150 kills with it only playing for 3 hours. It's ****ing beast.
Eh, I played with the FAMAS when I started out, I didn't really like it. It doesn't have that many drawbacks, but I wasn't getting very many kills with it. I played some HC S and D today with Doniii. So much for tactical-ness. I think the word translates to camp with the AA-12 in Cod terms. I then switched back to my regular Team DM and ****ed stuff up. Went at least 20-5 each match. Got chopper gunner on 3 out of about 5 or 6. Yay me
Turns out those two scratches that came with my copy of MW2 were actually cracks. The game randomly stops working now for an hour or so. I knew I should've returned it. D:
I use normal scope on my Intervention most of the time. Although when I unlock thermal, I'm gonna give it a shot. I don't like ACOG on the Intervention. Too much sway, even with Steady Aim Pro and since I mostly do long range sniping, not quickscoping, it makes it even more useless for me.
Got third nuke on subase domination in GW last night. Retards kept running at me, not even bothering to shoot back.
Good class. Mine is: Barret Thermal or FMJ (the former is more useful to me, but neither is necessary) Ranger Akimbo Tactical Insertion or Throwing Knife (Depends on the map, most often don't use either) Sleight of Hand Pro (Very useful) Cold Blooded (damage is just as effective as stopping power if you're used to headshots/aiming-for-the-chest Ninja Pro (for going silent) That's my main class, the others are just derivatives that I switch to out of boredom if this one isn't working out.
Good class. Mine is: Barret Heartbeat sensor (Good for when you sit in a bush or in a spot the whole map to snipe) Spas Grip Claymore (Good for that one area behind you when you're snipping from one spot) Scavanger (Extra ammo for a whole game in one spot/ infinity claymoresl) Cold Blooded (damage is just as effective as stopping power if you're used to headshots/aiming-for-the-chest Ninja Pro (for going silent)
yes it does. slightly, but it does. so did the perk in CoD4 trust me, I've tested both significantly in creating my classes. edit: increases range of snipers, which in turn is the same as increasing damage since they are essentially one-hit kills within range.
Look @ bold. I don't see the logic in this. If you're going to be in one spot for a while, and you have a sniper to kill people at long range, and they die at long range, wouldn't you have to walk to the bodies to get ammo, thus making you vulnerable, and ruining a major component on your strategy? EDIT: Also, not really infinite claymores; when you plant 2, and you try to plant a third, the first one blows up. Only allowed 2, this is the same for C4s.
