    Hello ForgeHub,
This is my first map posted here. Normally all of my maps are XForgery Exclusives because I don't have the time to keep up with multiple forge sites. Gunnergrunt said, "I think the canvas is brilliant and needs to be shared with everyone!" So I took Gunnergunt's advice, and posted the canvas here.

    Map Name:
    Ghost Merge Canvas

    Map Canvas:
    Sandbox

What does a Ghost Merge Canvas do? - A Ghost merge canvas is designed to make Ghost Merging much faster and easier.

Normally when ghost merging, you need to dummy an object and set the respawn to "Never". You need to do that for every object that you are going Ghost Merge, and if you start a new round you will have to do it again. On the Ghost Merge Canvas, you can skip that whole step.

Here are the steps to Ghost Merge on this Canvas:
    1) Dummy an unmovable object.
    2) While holding the object, Set the Min to the highest number possible.

That video shows me using the canvas to ghost merge a few different objects

    [bungievid]105165354[/bungievid]
This video shows me spawning a few of the same object. Notice how I start a new round after every object. I do this because I would have to wait about 30 seconds for the extra object to disappear.

How did I get this to work? - I spawned one of every ghost meragable object, and I put the settings to No/Never. Spawn at start - No. Respawn Time - Never. This will make it so the object never spawns. These No/Never objects will act as the first object you dummy in normal ghost merging.

    *IMPORTANT*
It is possible to lose the No/Never object if you are not careful. When you have 1 of a any object left, do not spawn it. Save the map, quit, and start forge again. Find that object in the group of No/Never objects and set the "No" or "Never" to something else. If you do not, the No/Never object will stop spawning in the first round. If this happens, you can get the object back. Just delete one of the object that you spawned and the No/Never object will spawn again. This will be a problem for people using the budget glitch, because they will lose the object they delete instead of the No/Never object.
    * The No/Never Object may actually disappear halfway through the number of that object allowed

This Canvas also has the budget glitch, neutered towers, and has most of the OLN objects preserved.

Here are all of the objects used in the glitch to get quick Ghost Merging - Of course I built a monster with them!!

*You can not do the quick ghost merging in the first round.

*I did not include the red and blue light as No/Never objects

-Thanks to Death YoYo, Fritzster, and tylyr1 for finding/developing Ghost Merging

GOOD IDEA! Not really sure how it works but still very good idea. This should save a lot of time.

You might want to change this bit...

As for the map, I'm eager to see if this works, since I'm extremely lazy when it comes to Forging. I'll DL this after I get some of my homework done. Oh, and are there any other rules we should know about? I know that on some budget glitched maps, they say that you shouldn't the first object that you use (or something along those lines, bear with me. I don't use budget glitched maps!).

Well the only other rules would be the same rules that apply to all clean budget glitch maps.

This idea is so awesome! If it works as good as it looks, this will be shaving off my map building times drastically. Thank you for this very helpful canvas.

How did you set them to no and never? I thought it didn't let you.

I made a guide for it. Maybe I will copy and paste it to forgehub.

I never understood this before. I just watched the video and now I get it, but can you pre-brace to objects before they become no-clip?

Reliable sources have said that if you use the no/never glitch that you will only be able to spawn half of the objects or something along those lines. Have you encountered any issues working with this canvas?

I think you can do anything that you could do with normal ghost merging.

I have spawned enough objects to reach the OLN several times, and the only problem I have come across is that the No/Never Object disappears.

This is true. Buddhacrane thought this up and tried it along time ago in th Hub Pub. Halfway through, the item set to no and never was lost. I believe it would not spawn anymore.

So, I tested it out, and I love it. I'll use it forever and ever. But...

Another question! With this canvas, can you only Ghost Merge? I remember that I place a couple of teleporters down, deleted them, and then was unable to spawn any more of them, although none of them had been spawned.

I've done this on accident a couple of times when I don's start new rounds after ghost merging. But it looks like you answered my mental question.

Yah I talked to Buddhacrane about it, but I still have only come across that problem until the last object was placed. Even if that does happen, losing one item is worth for the extra speed is worth it for a lot of people.

This map has a clean budget glitch for all of the items that are can not be ghost merged or are not part of the original items on the map. That means that if you spawn one of them you can not delete the last one of the object.

Hey, I think this idea is great and all and I love cutting shortcuts, even thought that can lead to lazyness, but I don't understand how you set the spawn to No/Never. Every time that I try it cancels the option and I guess their is a way to break this. If thats the case then please tell me how becuase switches would be much easier and that would show I still have much to learn about Forge. Regardless however, I do beleive I want to try this map out with the many other great canvas's that are on Sandbox. Oh, and yes this is very creative indeed! Oh yeah, the people you thanked at the end of your thread, were they the ones who created ghost merging? o_O (sorry for all the questions, but this brought up some things I needed to ask because of how plain awesome it was). ^_^

I thought the only way to No/never was to hex edit and I've never seen anyone do that anyway? Post the guide if possible.

I had actually touched this idea in my head but obviously the No/never stumped my plans ;p It's a very creative method and I'm sure the map will be useful!

EDIT: Found guide - http://xforgery.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6996 - Enjoy all
