    Yes, This is the exact same BG and Render used in Rabbittts old nightlife sig, I tried my own version, wasn't that good, though I'd post it anyways.

    The quality of the ODST is effed up in the first one.

    Yeah, the fractal was really dark, and for some reason made the whole sig dark. (?) And I had to use lighting effects to brighten it up but still maintain the colors, and in the process, the render got distorted.

    The ODST in the first one looks blurry but the red lines everywhere looks cool.
    In the second much smoother but is dull and the background doesn't seem to fit.

    Right off the bat, rule of thirds. Follow it.
    I'm going to assume you would prefer v2 critiqued so here goes, haven't done this in quite awhile. It's rather bland, nothing really stands out and the colors are all dull and mix together. As said before, it's centered. The bg feels very strange and out of place, he looks to be floating in the air. Maybe try blurring the bg some and sharpening him a little.

    Add. Some. Color. Make him a little brighter by using a green brush and setting it to color on top of him or something along these lines, something to make your focal point stand out from the rest.

    As briefly said, reset the background so it doesn't look like he's up in the air.

    Compo. Rule of Thirds. Sharpen focal. It's blurry. V1 has good potential.
