If you can quick snipe fairly well snipers are great close range weapons. Though I prefer the Intervention because it's usually a one shot kill everytime. But the best SMG's in my opinion are in order from P90, Ump, Vector, MP5.
Just presiged last night. Level 1 - 25 are ****ing stupid. You only have Marathongz, sleight of hand, lightwieght, stopping power, hardline, steady aim and scrambler.
after you hit level 50, the game is more about having fun than leveling up. just enjoying yourself. or thats how i see it.
the mini-uzi is definitely a step-up from last game, and the P90 is a step down. i have refrained from the mini- uzi for the sole reason that it sucked in COD4, but ive been picking them up recently and im falling in love. too bad im only level ****ing 40.

i liked the early levels a lot after i prestiged. I actually did better when i had less to use, some of my best games were during the first 10 levels. Currently i'm working on a few things, mainly my stealth class. I just got ninja pro (which is AWESOME)
True, did get my highest killstreak at about my 4th game, dunno how that works, but its still retarded.

I hate all this try hard M16/FAMAS one burst kill bullshit. I hate all of the Marathon/Lightweight/Commando + Care Package Marker/Tac Knife bullshit. I hate how you can dual wield a shotgun that if you fired with one hand would snap your wrist and if you flipped would break the gun itself as well as your fingers and be completely fine. I also hate how you can wield TWO. ****ING. DEAGLES. Ever try that in real life? Yeah, don't even bother. This game was called 'The most realistic war shooter so far' yet ****ing HALO is more realistic than this bullshit. Not to even mention less glitchy. Every game I try to play has either hacked 10th 70's with the Neg EXP mod or people getting a ****ing TACTICAL NUKE. Even more retarded is how everyone below level 30 cannot do anything against the overpowered killstreaks because they lack anything ****ing USEFUL. Even worse is how outclassed the ****ing SMG's are because you can have a secondary Shotgun to do the job of an MP5k. They should have just stuck with the Overkill perk as a Tier one perk and made that bullshit a primary like in the last game. I'm not even going to start on how much the campaign ripped off absolutely every action movie and is completely inaccurate and just flat out bad. Is everyone at Infinity Ward a ****ing moron or something? The more I play this game, the more I realize how ****ing shitty it is. Don't even try to argue my opinion either. I am completely done with this ****. I do not have fun sitting in front of a doorway and waiting, I do not have fun sitting with a sniper and staring at a window waiting for someone to walk by. I do not have fun running around with a knife because of how negative I go, nor can I even enjoy doing anything because no matter where I go I am either noobtubed, one shotted by an M16, or knifed by some ****ing twat using the typical run and knife class. I know some smart ass will probably give me the old 'can't beat em, join em' bullshit, but I refuse to be a ****ing ***** and use only the most overpowered **** (Primary, M16 w/ Stopping Power. Secondary, Akimbo 1887's w/ Steady Aim) and stoop to everyone else's level. TL;DR: Infinity Ward is a ****ing failure of a developer and made a failure of a game. My opinion will not change. Don't bother arguing with it.
With regards to the question regarding ACOG scopes vs. Thermal scopes, I concur with the statement that it depends on which weapon. Snipers, and the burst/single fire weapons usually work better with a thermal, mostly everything else works better with an ACOG for me. I use an ACOG on my scar class despite having thermal unlocked. My reason for using a scar being I'm only in the early levels due to a very recent prestige (Namely one forst prestige two days ago, I am currently at level 32). I also happen to be using ACOG on my MP5k until I unlock FMJ for it, it actually makes it half decent over range if you can trigger-finger it to fire bursts. It also happens to make it look ridonkulous which is always a winner. Hopefully I'll have Cold Blooded & Ninja re-pro'd soon as I can go back to playing HC. Cold Blooded is ridonkulously annoying to pro.
How is it possible to akimbo sub machine guns? I'm sittin here thinkin about how much recoil they have when you are using two hands. Wouldn't the guns practically have a spasmic orgasm in your hands and fall out?
I've actually come quite accustom to the SMG playstyle with marathon, lightweight, and steady aim. Nothing is more satisfying than outstrafing an opponent shooting at you, because your not scoping in. I love the UMP and is all I've used on this current prestige. Apparently I'm really good at doing this, because I've gotten a message accusing me of hacking. Dammit stupid thread not giving me the most recent page.
