Ya I also use magnums. Either akimbo with steady aim on or knife without it. It really helps when you get bum rushed. What really is annoying is snipers with shotguns. Such an overpowered combo, I was playing on derail and the central building was full of ghille wearing shotgun users. I usually gun them Dow. First though cuz I'm good and all, not like camping bk's
The shotgun takes too long to switch too. I move around so much that a shotgun switch time would screw me over.
yeah i hate that. Even once you are holding the shotgun in your hands, theres like 2 seconds where your trigger breaks or something because the ****ing thing wont fire.
i think lightweight pro fixes this. that or it makes it so there is not a gap between the time you stop sprinting and the time you can fire your gun which is usually about a second
I never really used the magnum until I prestiged yet again and used one of the default classes. The mag. has the knife attachment and it's a pretty sick to use.
no im not talking about sprinting. Im just talking about weapon changing. When you switch between the sniper and shotgun, it takes FOREVER.
I love the 1887 without akimbo. It just looks so bad ass when you use it. Plus, I feel unique because I never see people using it without akimbo.
Get with the times Black On another note, I've taken up sniping with my Barrett. I enjoy sniping now, really chill, sitting back, sipping my pepsi, and taking off heads.
It is really fun when you have a good spot. You can just relax there and wait for more people to come. And when they do, CRACK. done.
People hate the barret because they try to use it wrong. It is most definatley a real sniping sniper, to use it effectively you have to stay back and wait to place your shots, rather than just spamming/taking a lesser quickshot.
M16 = <3 Akimbo rangers = <3 Triple kill with a random semtex thrown across the map = Priceless. Lol, imma nub tho, only level 45. :/
wrong, I constantly run around with the barret and get headshots and go positive. It just depends on your playing style and how you use a gun.
Well, it depends on your definition of close range with a sniper. To me, its much different than close range with an SMG. I always see people running around with the barret. I rarely get longshots when I snipe.
AK-47 is a monster!!!!!!! my favorite weapon I am never gonna prestige.People were saying how it sucks but If you know how to use it, it is the best.
The AK is a nice gun, but it has too much kick for me and is the same reason I won't use rapid fire or any other SMG than the second one. The AK is a nice change of pace from the other guns. I remember in COD4 I enjoyed using it a bunch.
I rarely use the AK in full auto at a distance. I like it's ability to single shot and be precise while fully automatic at closer ranges packs a great punch. There really isn't any recoil to it (at least, not any that I notice,) it just has an upwards kick that you get used to after a while. It's the main reason I refuse to prestige. As for the SMG's (coming from an avid MP5k user) the recoil isn't an issue at the ranges it's designed for. Just stick to an enclosed area of a map that you're comfortable with (the tunnels and office buildings in Highrise, for example) and patrol that general area and stay attentive. Scavenger Pro really helps as well. The UMP, however, is an entirely different story seeing how it can kill at any range in 3 bullets regardless of Stopping Power.
