Drop spawns?

    Okay guys, I need help with drop spawns. I have 2 snipers, both 150 respawn, 1 clip. I need them to be drop spawned. They are currently dop spawned atm but whenever I pick up one after about a minute the other disapeers and the one you picked up appears.

    Please could someone link me to a guide for drop spawns? Need it within the hour if possible [​IMG]

    hmm dude... have you by any chance set a runtime minimum to 1?

    the other disappears because it becomes idle though.. but i dont know why the other sniper respawns in its place?

    Is it absolutely necessary for them to be drop spawned?
    Drop spawning is so sketchy as it is because you don't really know how long it'll actually stay where it drops.

    You probably have the run time maximum set lower than it should be. That makes a single object spawn in different locations, if each location is setup correctly.

    If you set the run-time max. higher than what's on the map then it accounts for an object that doesn't exist.
    I don't see how that would solve the problem.

    No, I'm saying that if the run-time max is set too low, then it could be a problem. Otherwise I don't have a clue.

    I really don't think the run-time max CAN be lower than the amount of that object on the map.
    unless i'm missing something, cos that'd solve a lot of my switches issues.

    Here's the situation: You have 2 shotgun locations, each set to 30 respawn, but the run time max for shotguns is 1. As in, only 1 shotgun will spawn each 30 seconds. If drop spawned, the shotgun will spawn in one location, despawn, and spawn in the next location after 30 seconds.

    not true.. it would be a good theory.. itd definately help in custom gametypes though, but you cant actually set the runtime maximum any LOWER than the amount of items on the map.

    Also, i've noticed that 'idle' time on moveable objects depends on the size of the object... the larger the item, the quicker it will disappear.. Hence the reason when people are killed, their weapons and grenades enter 'idle' time and the weapons disappear BEFORE the grenades do.. 'Idle' time last upto 45s usually but sometimes reaches 60s.
