Title says it. Warning, may contain spoilers. I'm gonna ask everyone who wants to announce anything about the ME 2 storyline to put their relevant part of their post in a spoiler tag. Minor: Spoiler I'm wondering, Do the council return or not depending on your decision save or leave them in ME 1? Because http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-sci-mass-effect/60873 it suggests at one part that humans over-ran the citadel after the council died, and I'm wondering if that's fixed in ME 2 or dependent on the ME 1 storyline you chose.
Every important decision you made carries over. Including that one. The characters you killed, whether you saved the citadel, who you put in charge, etc etc etc maybe even some of the smaller decisions will impact it as well. Like deciding to let those scorpion things live or not.
Spoiler Those are just the confirmed choices that will carry over. There will be more, and remember, even if they don't have a significant impact in ME2, they most likely will in ME3. Also, I'd bet that your decision on whether or not to give the Cerberus data to the Shadow Broker after completing Admiral Kahoku's line of quests will have a pretty significant effect somewhere in the trilogy. It pisses me off, because I accidentally kept it and didn't give it to him, so I'm afraid that at one point I'm really gonna need help and the Shadow Broker's just gonna blow me off.
I recently did a 100% playthrough, completing every sidequest and doing everything on every planet. I made sure that everything would work out the way I wanted. I am a little worried though. I'm going to do probably 2-3 playthroughs with my main character, paragon, and just use different classes. Then I'll probably do 1 maybe 2 playthroughs with my less fleshed out Renegade character. However, after that, if I want to play again I'm going to want to start all the way back at ME1 and go through that game AND ME2. These games are going to eat my time away, and just wait til we get ME3...
I'm going through right now, and making a good one or two other accounts that are rich. My main, that I've used for like 3 playthroughs has maxed out the credits. I've made a character that's renegade, paragon, and neutral. No matter what happens, I'll get the most out of the game, from my 3 different characters.
I think ill stick with my soldier class with my trusty 'ol snowblind rounds and then later try biotics.
With Mass effect 1, after getting a weapon achievement, you could get to use that gun on a biotic. Lets just say, Vanguard with Assault rifle = awesome. Oh, and with Biotics, Lift and Throw are absolute ****ing wins.
Can you actually control the Normandy? I never played Mass Effect 1, but I plan on getting ME2. I read in a gameinformer you can manually control the ship.
You can manually control where it goes, as in planet wise, but not 'drive' it. Mass Effect 2, it's the same. However, you have more options while in the galaxy map. I'm not going to get into that fully because I'm on my touch, butim sure a quick google or someone else could fill this in.
'Joker' is the pilot for your ship. You can set chosen destinations, but you don't get to physically steer it around, as Bloo Jay said. You can drive the Mako, if that's a substitute for you?
You actually do "physically drive it around". You burn fuel as you travel and whatnot. I remember seeing a few seconds footage of it, but I can't remember the video. Travel isn't the same as the first game.
oh hell yes. Ill do that then. I dont need any more work on my soldier class. Snowblind Rounds XV do ridiculous damage and the gun never overheats. The overheat bar doesnt even move. And i also have the Spectre class XV assault rifle as well.
That still is not 'driving' though. That's merely navigating a ship on a tank of gas. On my soldier I think I had the same setup
Snowblind rounds won't be making a return. All ammo types are set as powers for classes. Soldier - Cryo Ammo - Incendiary Ammo - Disruptor Ammo Infiltrator - Cryo Ammo - Disruptor Ammo Vanguard - Incendiary Ammo - Cryo Ammo I don't think that feature is making a return. Also, major spoiler for Mako: Spoiler Apparently, according to a leaked review, there is no point in the game where you drive the Mako or anything like it.
Well, You never know. It depends on if anyone has seen the achievements for Mass Effect 2 yet. MY PLEA HAS BEEN ANSWERED.
Xbox360Achievements.org - Mass Effect 2 Achievement List I haven't even looked at the achievements because I'm almost positive there are spoilers in there. If I'm not mistaken, Bioware has said that you will have a tech lab on your ship. By scanning planets and getting resources you can research stuff in this lab. It's rumored that somethings you can research would be powers from other classes and the ability to use weapons that your class initially can't. If this is true, I think it will be much more limited in what you will and won't be able to learn.
