Wow was beasting today. Ump45, silence, stopping power, marathon. was going 30 something kills <5 deaths on average. It really brings me back to my CoD4 days with the UMP being the MP5 or AK74 which is just as godly.
I haven't got a nuke yet, but I'm gonna try. My friend's got 16 nukes on his PS3, he plays it waaaay too much. My best game was when I got a 20 kill spree. Yes, I know I'm the underdog.
I got a 23 killstreak. I had predator, harrier, AC130 (yes, no nuke) and I was running around with the M16. If I had the nuke, I would have probably got it. But I didn't, so a goal was lacking, so I took unnecessary risks.
Playstyle. Here's a tip, never run and gun. Ever. I don't get killled a lot, and typically have a 5 kd in games now. I'm really changing up my overall playstyle now. I typically stay out of large fights and focus on key flanks. I'm the guy that basically locks down an area of a map and then moves on to another in order to be unpredictable. With that class, don't rush your decisions, I map out my scenarios and act on which is going to be more beneficial.
Got a few nukes today. I'm finding the pred/harrier/pavelow killstreak set up to be extremely good for kills, but i want my 1000 kills with CG before i start to stray away. Only need 400 and odd more! lol
Has anyone noticed that now Model 1887s are now completely underpowered and worthless. In MW2, essentially the whole point of having multiple guns is you think "Hmm, this gun would be best with this class, and better then this other gun, whereas this other gun is better with this class." Nothing about 1887s stands out any more.
I agree with your strategy, however i think of it in a different way. I try and be the least visible possible. I avoid wide lines of sight and make sure to pick my battles so that its always one on one. Additionally, i position myself or approach from an angle so that i have the complete advantage. That way, i can't fail.
I'm the annoyance player. I run behind enemy lines and usually distract the crap out of them. I don't go hugely possible and its hard to get a large killstreak because they can easily surround you but I think its the most heart pumping.
i move quickly between my set positions which give me maximum advantage over other nearby players. And yes, i do tend to flank. Invading bases from an unexpected angle and taking out the resident snipers and such.
Get FMJ for them and use bling. Akimbo+FMJ is just about the same as it was before. My friend went 37-4 just using them on scrapyard.
Nice, I usually go from the front or maybe somewhat from the side. The stupid part is that I use a sniper, but it works somehow. I rarely get longshots with the sniper.
Run and Gunning can lead to high K/D's too. Any play style varies for any plahyer based on their gaming history. Lately I too have been changing my playstyle for I don't really know what I enjoy. I've been sniping the past month primarily, but now I'm returning to Silenced Assault Rifles, and more tactical approaches. Either way, any play style could work out for any person. It's all determined on the way you approach the map according to your weapon/and perks, and a general view of the opponents experience. Akimbo Models are still very good, just no the 'best' shotgun anymore. I think people just don't like them anymore for their range is decreased, and people still use them they way they previously did. Also, the range is fixable as this person states.
for sniping, i have a set spot, and i don't move at all. My spot is usually very well camouflaged and well out of the way. I get many, many longshots.
i don't think ill ever bother using it. The spas is just so much better. It shoots faster, reloads faster, and is much more accurate.
I prefer the Shotgun attachment overall. Shotgun (attachment) - The Call of Duty Wiki - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty 2, characters, and more
