I am happy to present Platforms, an infection map. Map link is here This map takes place in the mancannon chasm on Avalanche. Zombies spawn in the upper entrance to the chasm, humans spawn in the lower. In between are multiple platforms which serve as the human’s holdout. Forgive the perspective distortion, but I felt this was the simplest, best method for conveying the contents of the map visually Both spawns have a shield door at the entrance. The human spawn holds a flamethrower for those trying to make a last stand, while the zombie spawn holds a gravity hammer for those crazy enough to go for it. Both never respawn. The lower platform in the center of the arena holds never-respawning, yet powerful weapons. While it is in the best interest of the humans to acquire these weapons, the zombies can easily jump down on to this platform from above, making it a risky proposal. Weapons are BRs, a rocket launcher, brute shot, sentinel beam, and mauler, all with no spare clips. Even riskier, a never-respawning turret sits below the human mancannon. The only way out after picking it up is to jump into the mancannon, which launches you directly in front of the zombie spawn. The only respawning weapons are two firebomb grenades on the platforms that flank the mancannon launch path. Holding this spot will give you access to them, but beware as zombies flying by could lock on and lunge at you. This leaves the two bases. The lower base can only be attacked from one direction but has shield doors limiting long lines of fire. The upper base can be attacked from two directions, but these have long lines of fire. The view from the upper base: I recommend any infection gametype have shotguns as the only human starting weapon; pistols or other long-range weapons would make it very difficult for zombies and decrease the importance of acquiring the weapon’s stash. Any players that think they can cheat the system by committing suicide right before a zombie strikes will find themselves in the human respawn—a death trap if the zombies hold the map. The flamethrower can make a temporary barrier if used on the shield wall...but you won’t last long. Nice map Pete, though I don't see much (if any) interlocking. It probably would look better with it. (but if there was interlocking correct me.)
looks like a good map, i like the way each weapon has its own risks and consequences like if you grab the turret you have to mancannon yourself to the zombie spawn
wow it looks great this is the first good map iv seen on the new one i will download (too bad my friends are cheap and wont get the new maps) i would recomend adding some more pics action ones if you can

Looks awesome! I like maps that put a lot of thought into weapon placement, because that can really pay off in the end.
