not when there are alot of buildings. The AC130 cant kill people in buildings pretty much at all. The chopper gunner gives you a better angle. Also, i hate the reload time. The chopper gunner works just fine for me.
AC130=suck. It can't shoot through stuff or anything. Chopper gunner are a pretty cool guy who shoots through walls and doesn't afraid of anything.
The few things I like about the ac-130 is it's harder to take down, and the big bombs and stuff it has ... But it's only useful on open maps(city maps fail w/ ac-130)
I remember how excited I was when I first heard you could use an AC 130 in MW2, until I realized that it sucked horribly (except on one or two select maps) compared to the chopper gunner. In my opinion, the chopper gunner is just as hard to take down (moves around behind buildings, kills people faster) but brings more fire power (because no reload time unlike AC 130) as well as a better view/angle and can cover more of the map because it moves more (to get better angles). But it's really just a matter of opinion.
Wait...is there any benefit to killing people after they're done controlling their killstreak, or is it just to show off?
The AC130 is good on select maps, as i remember many people would use it on the glitched domination games for a few reasons... The big bomb on it allows coverage of a wide area, so if you can find the oponents spawn you can easily get double-triple-multi kills with only one shot. Another benefit is the ability to call in an AC-130 even when there are other helicopters and harriers around. I have found that using the chopper gunner while playing with a good team may sometimes result in not being able to call in the CG due to the fac that my team always had attack hellicoptors/pavlows/harriers waiting. This is not a problem with the AC-130 unless their's already one up in the air. Ironically i still use the CG due to the fact that if can shoot through small houses/walls and moves around, another added bonus is the fact that anyone in the open appears white with a hit marker around them along with the normal red box, so spotting an enemy trying to shoot you down is very simple.
its just to show off. just so they can see that you found them, and that you ended their streak. Just so you can suffer more. If you kill someone during their killstreak, they'll just respawn and maybe not realize it even happened. In other news, i got my third nuke today, and went 44-14 using the SPAS and only the SPAS. Everyone says 'ew pump action', but it pumps pretty damn fast and you are unstoppable until you miss a shot. I dont miss.
But if you kill them when they're done controlling the killstreak, couldn't they have already earned the nuke? Then they can use it whenever they want. If you kill them while controlling the killstreak, isn't the streak ended immediately and they could be prevented from getting the nuke?
Use harrier-chopper gunner-nuke Its the easiest way to get a nuke. Hands down. \\ First of all get a harrier, then go and hide while you call it in, it will almost always get you the chopper gunner, continue hiding in your spot while you call in and use the CG to its extent. Most of the time the other team will not shoot it down and you are able to get your killstreak up to something around 25, if you only get to 23 or so just continue camping for the final kills. Im not saying to camp and play, but if your at 23 kills it would be a good idea. Yes their streak ends when their 'body' dies. But the killstreak keeps going even if they die. And yes, if you get a nuke you do not need to call it in right away, most people wait till the near end of the game, or any other good time to use it.
So why wait for them to finish controlling their killstreak to kill them? I'd rather end their streak and prevent their getting a nuke than let them see me kill them after earning a nuke. I mean, if you kill them while they're controlling the killstreak and they don't immediately realize they've been killed, they would find out later by pressing right on the D-pad and be equally frustrated. Is the satisfaction of killing the person after they finish really worth automatically losing the game?
Keep trying. Hide better. Its happened to me a few times. Its all good. No, it isnt. But my explanation of why people do that is just a guess. I really have no idea why. Its not a very intelligent thing to do though, i agree.

I cant tell if your serious or not... Its not like people are trying to let the other team have a nuke. Most likely the guy in the chopper gunner will be hiding, therefore it will not be easy to find him. But after the killstreak is done he will resume running around, and killing him will be easier
For the 13th time I've entered a game after it ends. (Just Before, during or after the game win killcam) For the 50 something time I've entered a game in the last minute. They really need to do something about that.
You must have missed the very beginning of my conversation. I was talking about people who, for some reason, hover over people controlling killstreak rewards and only kill them once they close the laptop. I'm saying that I would rather prevent a nuke and a loss by killing the person immediately than let them finish the killstreak reward, earn a nuke, and have pride in knowing I was the one who ended the streak.
Most definitely. No wonder my Win/Loss ratio ****ing blows. Its the matchmaking system. You think we all don't have the same problem? Ive gotten 3 nukes in the past 2 days.
