    I now love Rundown.

Yknow the "sniper"ish tower, the row of townhouses I guess that has a really long hallway? I put a claymore at the top of the stairs that go down to Alpha, set up with the weapons i want to get attachments for, get Scavenger, and get to work.

2 games this morning, +35 for both, one I didn't die.

    :D

Working on it; got back to 70, and am almost done with Handguns.

yeah but you'll be missing all of the prestige challenges and all those prestige titles and emblems. Prestige once. Its the way to go.

prestige isnt even an option, my bro and dad both play cod. and unless i can get model 1887s extremely quickly, prestige wont happen
you think my dad would care if i made him use the M4A1?
my bro doesnt play much, i could get the M16 for him. or he could suck it up and use the famas, which he also likes

What you do is prestige and then blame one of them for accidentally prestiging. Then you can profit.

About prestige, I got CoD 4 pretty late on, like around July 2009. I decided that I wasn't going to prestige because MW2 would be out soon. Alright so eventually I get all the attachments and cameos i want. Then it's just like "alright now what?" Once you unlock everything and play for a while it behind to get a little old, especially since it seems like people will just start using one gun. So yeah there are a lot of attachments and such, but after a while the game will begin to grow old.

Oh and you miss out on the cool titles.

It's best to jump in to prestige before you get settled. I'm level 40 on 1st prestige, and i never used the 1887's or the AK. I enjoy using the uncommon, underrated weapons rather then just M-16, Raffikas etc.

I bought Cod4 on release, and i only just got 55 before MW2 came out :)

yeah i never touched the AK or the Models. I just went right ahead and prestiged. To be honest, for me, i can never play with the same weapon two days in a row. My playstyle is constantly changing and sometimes i do better with one thing, and sometimes i do better with another.

Am I the only one that will sit at level 70 (is that the highest)?

I just pick the 5 guns that I like the most and make classes on them. They are usually completely different. The one I use the most now is the Barret. I'm a very offensive sniper. Most of my kills with it aren't longshots.

same with my M14 EBR. only bad part is i had to slap a silencer on it because my spot keeps getting given away.

if you truly are a good sniper, then you either will not need to be unseen, or there will be nobody left to see you. I tend to lie down in the middle of a path and snipe people as they come. What are they going to do?

well i dont camp. being an extremely aggressive sniper, i run up to where i have good cover and clear an area. but when people seperate it is easy to get behind me.

i do that at times as well, though it usually results in a much worse K/D ratio than if i had camped.

    As with any gun...

But I just prestiged, I'm regretting it because I ****ing crippled my sniping by using sleight of hand pro for faster ADS(quick scopes) and i'm screwed now :/

can somebody explain to me this playstyle thing. 'Cause I don't understand this. If I were to play with one playstyle, I'd be a terrible player, so are you guys saying that for most of your games you play in one way or it's just the one that you find the most fun in?

Normally, I play a game with what I want to achieve by the end of the match. If the enemy team never catches on then I keep to that. However, if they do catch on, I switch to something else. I assumed everybody played like this but from the way you guys are talking about playstyles, you just keep doing that one particular method.

playstyle and strategy are two different things. you can have a playstyle, and change strategies within that playstyle so the enemy team is always on their toes- but you can maintain playing while in your comfort zone. that is how i view playstyles. playstyle is a much broader term than strategy when i use it.
