Infinity Ward patched Akimbo Models to reduce range, but when you have a single Model or Blinged Models with FMJ, they are just as good range-wise pre-patch. Proof: YouTube- Modern Warfare 2 - Model 1887 Analysis (Post 12/23/09 patch)
It's the same with everything. When you use it, it's either fun or underpowered. When other people use it, it's either boring or overpowered. Also, I'm equally pissed that I got Javelin less then a day after the anti-jav patch. Also, for the people complaining about the shotguns, have you ever heard of USING PRIMARY WEAPONS? ANY primary weapon beats the shotguns at an average range, you can get LMGs with thermal scopes that 1-hit-kill, and some close to average range shotguns with long reload and slow fire rate are overpowered?! Additionally, just because someone else is using them, DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN'T. If you're always being killed by 1887s, and have your own, use them.
Honestly, I found the MW2 singleplayer campaign to be an overall incredible experience. There were so many HOLY **** moments in this game. Felt like an 80's action movie on crack.
I've taken a liking to the M21 EBR. It's like a Barrett, with no recoil. ACOG and Silencer makes it even moar awesome, and G18s or TMPs akimbo'd for secondary only adds to the awesome.
I hate how sometimes it takes one shot for a kill, and then the next person you see takes two shots for a kill. But I love how many headshots I get with it, it's unbelievable.
My best games have been playing headquarters on sub base. It's fantastic and I do very well for myself.
All SR's do the same base damage, the EBR is the weakest as it's chest multiplier is 1.1, whereas everyother sniper's is 1.5, head is 1.5 all round and limbs are 1 all round.
it's good sportsmanship to avoid using something you hate, in my opinion. I have a weird courtesy complex with mw2, i've got a weird respect for fellow players. i dont use heartbeat sensors, never jav glitched when it was possible, i never touched the 1887s. Honestly, i use metal sights 80% of the time lol. I do great without such things and i get more self satisfaction by not using the easy ****. Another note on not using such things, my skill level plummets when im using something like a heartbeat sensor(i stare at the goddamn little blue screen more than everything else), or blindly getting easy kills with an akimbo 1887(my aim skill goes to **** when i switch back). i'm strange, but the day i throw out 1887s and a holo-sight when it matters, everybody's ass is mine.
Got my FAMAS COMPLETELY mastered. All prestige challenges, all unlocks. Got a sweet title! I don't know what to do now....
I'm lvl 70, gonna prestige sometime in the next few days, as long as I have my intervention I'll keep truckin' along(I'm not fond of any other of the snipers). I'm gonna miss my SCAR and ACR for a little while though...
