The spas is an excellent shotgun for flanking because the pump action just seems perfectly timed for the next guy. One of my favorite kills with the spas was on afghan. I ran up the tail of the plane and jumped forward and fell, but at the peak of my jump I quick shottied a guy for a headshot. It was a rather BA moment that gave me a chuckle. I do too, it's lovely. I can't remember, but in the last COD was there marathon? I never thought the annoyance of the knifing classes and akimbo 1887's was from lightweight but from marathon. I'd rather marathon give a 60 second sprint with a short recharge time. EDIT: Today I played headquarters pro on sub base and got three harrier strikes which for me is impressive. I have a hard time picking our people on my tv because it's kinda crappy. Anyways, I used the rpd with a grip and fmj and akimbo m9's with silencers. It was awesome. The first headquarters that popped up, I went nuts and started off 12-1. It was crazy and then I kept raping for some reason. I don't tend to play tactically unless I'm in one on one situations. I like to keep the pace in my favor and I don't want the enemy to act, but only to react to me. It worked out, but we ended up losing cause I had to take a phone call.
yeah it bothers me at times but i totally hate how it encourages me to sprint and so slows my reaction times. I use marathon for nothing but my riot class.
if you sprint as much as i do, than you eventually get the hang of it. just running around with an SMG, marathon, and lightweight will get you used to sprinting than looking up at the perfect times. EDIT: i just got tac knife for the M9. using them akimbo was fun though. a good challenge.
I agree with Wooden Leaf I use a vector with rapid fire, and its always kept me going. the only thing I need practice with is throwing knifes. Odd thing is although I'm a good sniper I always seem to be able to transition to my runner classes with no delay(this is odd because my sniper classes are really slow paced,while my runner classes are extremely fast. Also on a side note I cant run and gun with out rapid fire...).
I hate rapid fire, I use an MP5K and since I play hardcore I need to use it for at least medium range. Rapid fire makes recoil unbearable.
Me too, when I get bored of sniping, I would switch to my SMG class and run around the map. In my opinion, runner classes have more satisfaction in kills than snipers.
This is the class I just started using today. MP5K red dot M9 tac knife Marathon pro Lightweight pro Commando pro Idk what my death streak is. Killstreaks- UAV, care package, predator missile I like having a lot of common killstreak rewards- less stressfull and beneficial to the team.
I too have a spas story. it was on estate and i was sniping from the boat house area in front of the house. I was doing my thing, sniping guys at the house and the occasional flanker. I had movement on my flank, sniped one guy and realized they were swarming up the hill and in the boat house behind me. I pulled out my spas and got the guy in the house, ran around and was hiding beneath it. Seriously, the whole enemy team was coming up into the boat house and one guy came down and i took a deep breath, shot him giving away my position, so i ran in the direction they were coming from (not the smart choice but...) and shot pumped my way all the way through then ran down the hill in safety with my heartbeat in my head. I then got picked off from afar(grudge-filled bastards..), but i had a pred missile ready to go on my next life. quickscope multikill runs with it feel so good. sleight of hand is nice with it too.
i can aim a gun, but i like the spray that the other shotguns put out, allowing me to fire off and get a kill if i can get it near them. in hardcore, a shotgun doesnt need to be well aimed to kill
Striker with a grip is where it's at. It can get almost the exact same range as a SPAS, but it's got like 3-4 times the fire rate.
i dont use shotguns anymore. akimbo M9s is where its at. you switch to it faster and have a great fire rate, and if you dive into prone than you can get really accurate.
I'm not so sure they fixed it all that well, because I definitely got in a private match glitch not 20 minutes ago.
I remember not so long ago sometimes i would randomly get thrown into a private match here and there before all of this crazy shenanigans private public matches began to happen. There does seem to be some widespread dropping of matches and connectivity issues every other game. That in itself is nothing extraordinary with MW2, but it could be an issue. Hopefully IW get's there asses on the ball and irons our this wrinkly T-shirt we call Modern WARFARE 2.
yeah you'd think these would be the kind of glitches ironed out in beta. They arent working too fast on it either it seems.
