Most Anticipated Games of 2010 2010 is looking like a great year for gaming, and a horrible year for your wallet. For the first time i a while, a lot of big name games are coming out in the very beginning of the year. With a mix of sequels and some new IP's, 2010 should a be one hell of a year. These are some of the main games i will be looking forward to (Mainly in order of current release date): Sequels: Spoiler Army of Two: 40th Day Mass Effect 2 God of War 3 Bioshock 2 Splinter Cell: Conviction Lost Planet 2 Crackdown 2 Just Cause 2 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Dead Rising 2 Red Dead Redemption Mafia II Spec Ops: The Line Fable III Max Payne 3 Halo Reach Medal of Honor Dead Space 2 New Intellectual Properties: Spoiler Dark Void Dante's Inferno Blur Singularity Split Second Alan Wake Alpha Protocol Brink Rage Now obviously i won't be buying all of those games. If i had to pick 10, not in any specific order, it would be the following: Top 10 Spoiler Mass Effect 2 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Halo Reach God of War 3 Bioshock 2 Splinter Cell: Conviction Red Dead Redemption Medal of Honor Dead Rising 2 Alan Wake That being said, i haven't seen much on a lot of those games, and a slew of new games will be announced at all of the biggest game shows, so this list will most likely evolve. So, what are your most anticipated games for 2010?
for me halo reach because im a fanboy but MW2 might need to watch out because medal of honor looks outstanding
It's a ripoff of Call of Duty. Hell, Infinity Ward was started by people who worked on Medal of Honor, and left because the company and publisher was being Nazis on them. Very unlikely. Nothing has even been mentioned aside form that poster saying something along the lines of "Leaving Liberty City". That quote isn't exact, but close. Rockstar North obviously has been hard at work with the two DLC's for GTA4, with the most recent one being released i think one and a half months ago. So that wouldn't even leave a year for development time on a new GTA, and Rockstar North usually puts a few years into their games. With a big title already coming from Rockstar around that time period, in the form of Red Dead Redemption from Rockstar San Diego, it wouldn't make much sense for that to happen. Indeed. The Medal of Honor trailer looked pretty stellar. Can't wait to see how it turns out, especially since the team making the campaign has been hand picked from the insides of EA, and the Multiplayer is being developed by DICE, best known for their work on the Battlefield Series, which in my opinion is one of the best online game series ever. Oh yes, a lovely Infinity Ward fanboy. Taken a break from MW2 i see? I fail to see how this is a copy of Modern Warfare, Just because an FPS is set in a modern setting doesn't make it a MW clone. If you live by that logic, which you sadly do, then you would have to call Modern Warfare a Counterstrike or Battlefield clone, just because of the time setting. Also, from what i have heard from the original Infinity ward members [from various interviews] the founding members of IW left EA because of reasons that are no longer a problem in EA's company, so the inclusion of that sentence is invalid. Glad to see someone else who is interested in Brink. The game looks like a great mashup of various genre's. Lets hope it's good.
Why is that? With the exception of some of the newer titles, most of the Medal of Honor games have been really good games. That being said, this game is a reboot of the franchise. So expect new things from this one.
Ill wait for my friend to get it. And I agree, the older ones were decent. But the new ones are terrible.
Halo Reach (obviously) and Mass Effect 2 are my two anticipated games. The VGA's last night just made me crave some Reach immediately and Mass Effect 2. This game could be the best one of the year in my opinion.
OMG yes, i would have to say that is my most anticipated game of next year. I have been trying to avoid the new videos, because i don't want them to spoil the game for me.
FPS with some free running capabilities similar to Mirror's Edge, with what looks to be a coop RPG aspect similar Borderlands.
Guild wars 2 if it comes next year, there's also a nice new trailer for it reach because it is seductive mass effect 2 And that's it so far, nothing else wows me
Some games that I have interest in yet, have no clue if I'll be getting in 2010 are: Dead to Rights Retribution Skate 3 UFC 2010 Max Payne 3 Dead Rising 2 Halo Reach I'll probably only get like two or three of these though, I'd rather spend money on my drums than video games.
What about Darksiders? It looks like it'll be really fun. Other games I am excited about: BFBC2 Crackdown 2 Dante's Inferno Halo Reach
Yeah, they have some awesome videos on the game. Can't wait for more info! Hmm, i've heard of it, haven't seen much on it. I will look it up and come back with an opinion.
