Is anyone excited about the upcoming James Cameron movie, Avatar? I'm a big fan of 3D so I'm definitely going to check this one out at an IMAX Theatre.

"Avatar is a 3-D science fiction film written and directed by James Cameron, due to be released on December 16, 2009 by 20th Century Fox. The film is Lightstorm Entertainment's latest project, and focuses on an epic conflict on a far-away world called Pandora, where humans and the native species of Pandora, the Na'vi, engage in a war over the planet's resources and existence.
The film will be released in 2D and 3D formats, along with an IMAX 3D release in selected theaters. The film is being touted as a breakthrough in terms of filmmaking technology, for its development of 3D viewing and stereoscopic filmmaking with cameras that were specially designed for the film's production."

This looks absolutely horrible. If someone paid me to see it, I would refund my money and go get some hookers.

    I AM DISAPPOINT!

...if it's not Avatar: The Last Airbender, then it can't possibly be any good.

    Hey! Listen!

I don't know if I could bear spending a whole movie listening to that.

Dear God! The memories of Zelda and pain awaken! Oh dear lord why? Why!!

I don't think I'm going to see it. I don't like 3d films, and if you see them in 2d they suck because the entire movie was made for the 3d effects alone and never story. A bit stereotypical I suppose, but meh.

I'm probably going to see it, anything sci-fi is appealing to me. I only hope its a decent storyline with interesting characters and not just all about the visuals. I read an article about Sigourney Weaver and shes quoted in that saying the movie is truly spectacular. Obviously shes in it so shes going to hype it up but still, with her movie background thats a exciting comment.

Wow, those are some cheap hookers.

    Theres's a game too:

    James Cameron's Avatar: The Game

The game is also in 3D, but you need a certain kind of television and special 3D glasses.

When I first watched previews for this movie I'm like hey this looks pretty cool..but then the blue people start coming in and the flying birds..and I'm like yeah...no thanks. I'd rather spend my time on another new movie coming out...but idk I might go see it sometime because its free for me. (I work at a movie theater)

I gotta admit this film looks pretty amazing. My only problem is it's a bit too science fictiony for me, I prefer a bit of present day gun action lol. I saw 2012 the other day and that blew my mind.

I watched it on release and it was incredible! The special effects are stunning and there's non-stop action from beginning to end. I also recommend anyone who hasn't had their eyes blessed with this master piece to go and watch it. NOW.

    IT WAS SO GOOD.
    OH MY GOD.
The plot was average, but that DOES NOT MATTER when it's placed side by side with the STELLAR VISUALS.
    THEY WERE OUTSTANDING.
I would even go so far as to say that Avatar's animation was better than real life's animation. Can't explain it, but it's the truth.
This is a must see in 3D.
Don't settle for regular. SEE IT IN 3D.

Just got home from this masterpiece.
The plot was freakin' insanely thought out.
The effects were well phenomenal, not much else to say because the whole movie was effects.
Man, this movie was stunning, so much fun to watch for its suspense is still looming about my mind.
I will be "dreaming" about everything Jake did tonight :)
(Go see the movie, you'll undertstand.)

This movie was freakin awesome. So much badassness, the effects omg the 3-D could of maybe gone without (im not a 3-D fan) but still great movie. It really incorporates what America did to the Indians. Except the indians didn't kick out asses. Great story line, although the ending was predictable and so was that giant dragon he rode (i just got done watching it and forgot what it was called haha). Call me cheesy but i loved the love story part of the movie. Just enough of a love story to tie the whole action together. All in all great movie, i want it now on DVD i really am thinking of going tommorow and watching it again it was that freaking good.
