A lot like Last Resorts wheel and bridge, however, the power core works in reverse effect. It is accessible at first, but eventually becomes a hazardous place to cross. Map's Objective As guessed by Atik the concept or rather objective of this map (as ODST's) is to hold off the Brutes around the base of the power core. Once the core has been sucessfully activated, a door will open allowing a safe exit. The Core when its Dorment The Core when its on Standby The Core Primed and Active This is the power core. And to survive with the Asset, you must activate it. What I need however, is a few pointers on making the Brute spawning system. Ideally, Rifte Gifle (i think) as the guy who made asset, I'd prefer his help because he could assess the map when its near completion. But if anyone could just drop pointers here, there and everywhere for me. It'd be a huge help
Im big on asset, and jakob, rifte and I were the first people to make asset maps, I could help you out and critique it. Just send me an FR on Live if you want. But in return, YOU MUST TELL ME TEH MAP CONCEPT. Because right now I have no clue what is going on here, and to be frank, its interesting.

I can feel it too.. i literally have a massive grin on my face because im so excited I just dont wanna rush it and ruin it.. so it could be a while guys... EDIT: (again) So far its taken me... 6 hours and a bit, just to get the power core in a working condition.

Yup, i was kinda hoping you'd tuned in too late as to not know exactly how this fits in yet.. But if you do know, it doesn't really matter.. I'll be releasing more information either tomorrow night or the night after anyway
What is so hard to understand about the concept? What we see is the power core, or at least the skeleton of it. VIRGIL and the ODSTs are positioned on/around/near it and must defend it until something happens with the core to allow them exit or the classic "Hornet Drop."
Well, I'm intrigued. For one, I don't think we've seen a Skybubble Asset map yet. I'll be keeping my eye on this one.

The reason for no skybubble asset maps is because you have to make your own land. Which isn't a bad thing now with ghost merging but takes a while. This map could go swimmingly or terribly depending on your landscape. Edit: Since your map is in the skybubble you may want to consider asking someone how to make the hornet spawn after 5 minutes or w/e.. Typically the first one is destroyed by a killball in the skybubble then the second one respawns with a shield door to bounce it down. The only solution I can think of is floating these objects higher above your map ( not sure how tall the skybubble is) and do it that way..
Nope.. no vehicles at all on this map.. Its foot escape through a tunnel... The door opens at 2-3 minutes (Depending on your teams plan and executions of it) and allows the asset to leave through the tunnel. The go-to point will be in there.. Depending on budget.. the tunnel may lead to another room the brutes can cut the asset off at to make it even harder, but at the moment.. i dont think ill have the money..

ONI: Aftermath was taken out because I personally did not like it. Too small for an asset map. It was replaced with desert highway. jakob hunter might release it later on, I plan on making a specific gametype for smaller asset maps. V2 just simply doesn't work for it at all.
Do you mind putting pictures up of what you have completed? There might not be enough ground flooring.
I will be later tonight.. ive just finished the door mechanism.. With budget.. ive decided im changing the idea because im over spent with what i have completed.. so it could be similar to that of the ODST mission where your defending at the downed pelican (on the landing pad) EDIT: Just so you know, I've know got walls on ground floor done, door is functional, safe room is constructed and.. as a little bonus.. the lights activate at the same time as the generator reaches standby as if the whole system is coming online.. and i must say.. it looks great
It looks good so far I love how the thing works, but I think you should have the fusion coil on a special stand or something so they know it's of importance. ^_^ When do you think it's gonna be done?
