Yeah, started drawing like a month ago. These are some of my drawings on normal sized paper. I have a bunch more, but they're too big to scan. I'll get around to photographing them at some point. Anyway, as some of you may know, I'm applying to school for graphic design and as part of the application, I need a portfolio. They want photography, digital work, and drawings. I've never done any serious drawing in my life, so I've just started in order to be able to create a portfolio. (Note: the number assigned to each drawing is not the total amount of my drawings at the time. They're just random numbers.) 1842 on DA: Drawing 1842 2009 by ~The-Whispy on deviantART 1842: 1845 on DA: Drawing 1845 2009 by ~The-Whispy on deviantART 1845: 1848 on DA: Drawing 1848 2009 by ~The-Whispy on deviantART 1848: 1849 on DA: Drawing 1849 2009 by ~The-Whispy on deviantART 1849:
What medium is the camera done in? The top left corner of the camera has a texture that makes it pop out very well
Do you put a lot of pressure on the colored pencils? Cause it looks like the wax blurred it a few places. Have you ever tried blending each layer of color with your finger nail? I like that technique a lot for colored pencils
I do actually. I also layer the colors one over the other. I think this looks good because I like the smooth feel it has.
Yeah i like that smooth look as well. I recommend you try that fingernail technique. You'll end up with the same result, only sharper. It blends the colors together as well. Hope you post your larger picture eventually. I have to take digital photos of everything that is too big to scan
Wow those are colored pencils, I thought it was pastels, so nice blending! What's the second picture of though because it looks cool with the shading but i don't know what it is. Is it a cup facing downwards? I really like the camara because of all the blending involved. Nice work!
