One of the tentacles effects the actual playing map, and in Eight Emerald Legs the legs of the spider fell into the map, and the spiders body was part of the map... so I think you're confused there.
Love the octopus! Cant tell if this is a competive or asthetic map though. Gave me a laugh though. Fatgezzer
i meant to mean is it going to be mainly atshetic like 8 emrald legs, or a key factor of the map, in 8 emrald legs the entire map is still mostly the same, in this it looks like there is some barriers. A problem with my question is that you can GO inside of the spider which i hate. but yeah needs moar pics
Holy crap man. Debo just linked me here. That kraken looks so bossly. Wiggly creatures are nearly impossible to create with forge objects and it seems from the pictures you've done it perfectly. You definitely need to show me this some time.

None. The map is based around the water, you can't get inside the center or behind the defender's base. I'll post a map layout in a minute.
does the map change from light to dark???cause in your first pictures without the kraken it looks like a non filter map but when you posted the kraken pic it looks likes there gloomy on it so i was think the kraken comes out at night which is prety cool
No, there's no filters, I just put effects on the pictures. Filters mess with the gameplay and makes it to difficult to see. Here's the layout... (I tried making it as accurate as possible)
Wow, It as to be one of the most anticipated maps I have seen in the map previews, and I really love what you have done, I have been trying to make maps of Longshore, but they compare nothing to this. Everything looks so smooth, looks like you have put a lot of time into this. Great job.
Don't forget that if you are having problems with people getting on the octopus, you could put a grav lift inside one of the open boxes (if they even are open boxes). I cannot wait to play this.
Wats up this is blue magic i helped test your map today and i thought it was sick but i think the playing area was to gutted out,what i mean is not so much cover,not that many structures ,im not saying it didnt work im just saying the only structures on the playing field are the defenders and attackers platforms.Good job though,Love the octopus,reminds of Pirates of the Caribean.
I enjoyed it while testing today. I hope you plan on working on those spawns though. We kept spawning in the wrong base throughout the CTF games. The octopus looks great but I wish it would have left you more objects to use on the actual map. Also, the snipers spawn awfully quickly. Myself and Urban Myth had a sniper in hand 80% of the game. Its coming along great though! Inv if you test again!
I have to agree that you may need more items for the map. I enjoyed testing overall though. I think you should use the octupus in the game though, it looked sexy but that's all it did, look sexy. I understand that it's meant as an aesthetic piece but gameplay would change alot if maybe you pput a central weapon on it or something. It's a great map and I hope to test it again soon.
