I believe most of us have played both Firefight and **** Zombies at least once, but which one is really better? **** Zombies: Pros: -Dark atmosphere -Many Different Guns -Random Weapon Boxes -Ziplines, Teleporters, and Electric Fences Cons: -You're far away, sniping most of them -It can get monotonous -Bowie Knife detection is horrible Firefight: Pros: -Many different kinds of enemies -Ammo and Health in back room -Lots of cover -Different Medals -Different Choice of Characters Cons: -Not a wide variety of guns -No Matchmaking -Not much to explore You put your opinion!
How does firefight not have a wide variety of guns? **** Zombies has a few classes of weapon with better variants and that's it. Halo has multiple different weapons for 2 races, with 6+ weapons for each race that all serve better for certain situations, and also includes vehicles. Also, what about lack of variety in gameplay for **** zombies? Firefight has skulls to mix up gameplay at least. All **** zombies does is throw in more zombies that are harder to kill as the rounds progresses. Also, there aren't as many maps nor does it have an incredibly detailed online stat tracker like ODST. Can't think of anything positive about **** zombies other than the ones you've already mentioned(excluding many different weapons which I disagree).
I like **** zombies, but if you are bored with your friends play firefight, it is just a bit better with more people but otherwise **** zombies is better
i think **** zombies is more fun cause you can get random weapons which can turn the table of the game very quick and i think it can be more challenging. me and my friends have had alot more fun with **** zombies than firefight
**** Zombies is better because it takes skill and teamwork to be good, while firefight basically proves how much of a life you have. To even get towards having an above average game, you need atleast two hours, while in **** Zombies a good game could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. I don't want to have to wait for a completely open day so I can try and top the high score, because many have gone for that long.
my 2 friends were playing firefight on my xbox and are not very good at halo and there game still lasted 3 hours and they still had a bunch of lives and only turned it off because it got boring
Once I get past a few sets in Firefight, I hust get straight up bored. But it seems like **** zombies has more energetic gameplay that keeps me enthralled until we lose. But actually I like Firefight's open-ness and the little breaks between sets for you to go take a piss. Firefight's map variety is awesome, but I seem to be sticking with Security Zone and Lost Platoon. For Bungie to keep up with CoD, they need to be crankin' out DLC, and make every DLC map different from the current ones (I would LOVE to see a goose in Firefight). All in all, I got to say that they're pretty even.
No need to break this down for me, I just personally enjoy **** Zombies a lot more. Firefight seems a lot more like horde than anything, **** Zombies has that nice creepy feel to it.
IMO i didnt enjoy **** zombies all that much.. ill openly agree that it was the best thing on that piece of sh....... moving on. Firefight is so much better in terms of gameplay. If you've completed your Endure achievement yet, you should understand the team work required on Firefight is 10x more than on **** zombies.. Or at least it was with the friends i was playing it with. We worked hard and played harder.. we had a right laugh.. at the start we were all serious because we wanted to get endure, but after the first set realised its a lot easier than people made out and after set 4, we just had an AMAZING slayer game with all the covenant still raining havoc around us. It was MINT! You cant exactly do that in **** zombies, because if one guy dies, thats it, over, KAPUT! Long story short, Firefight is 10x better because it lasts 10x longer. Why sit in a lobby waiting for countdowns and friends to turn up when you can just have a laugh in a meaningless game? You dont have to finish it when you start it, so timescales in comparison shouldnt matter, although I prefer to play a longer game.
**** Zombies is a lot more fun because it can easily last much longer than firefight. In **** Zombies you just fight Zombies, all exactly the same but easier to catch them with said traps but Firefight has more than just slow, walking, and fast enemies it has 3 different enemies, excluding vehicles, that have more than scream and run. They both have equal difficulties but Firefight gets harder faster.
Isn't that better? And anyways **** Zombies is dead hard, my highest level on it was 12. But on Firefight I got to Set 3, Round 2, Wave 3. Which is harder now? (That wasn't an insult, I am just saying I think **** Zombies is harder) But if you look at my first post on here it says that **** Zombies is better but Firefight is a bit better with firends. So yeah that sums it up mostly.
I don't even think you can compare Firefight with **** Zombies. They are nothing alike, unless you think fighting wave after wave of Zombies is the same as fighting wave after wave of Aliens. If you were to compare Firefight to anything, it would be Gears of War 2's Horde mode. And for you **** Zombies cons, really? The Bowie Knife is a con? I'm not exactly sure you can call an enhancement of the normal Knife a con. What did you expect, a one hit kill, long range, samari sword? I think it was great of them to give us another type of close range knife. And what do you mean you're far away sniping most of them? It all depends on the level, and most of the time you're camping in a corner of the map with your team. Also, why isn't that more of a con in Firefight, if you're standing in the back of the map the entire game, using long-range pistols and SMGs? You've played **** Zombies before, right? You didn't say anything about Pack-A-Punch, or the Juggernog, Speed-Cola, etc... Machines. And those are some of the best things about **** Zombies. And for your cons about Firefight, what more could you ask for about weapons? There are alien, and human weapons. A unique variety of close-range and long-range weapons. And vehicles in some cases. I don't think the amount of weapons is a con, whatsoever. And last but not least, define your version of explore. Because I think that the atmosphere of Firefight, in just about every level is fine the way they are. What more could you ask for on the terms of explore? **** Zombies is enclosed, with no ability to jump over obstacles, so how is that not a con for **** Zombies. I love **** Zombies, and I kinda like Firefight. Maybe if the online didn't suck so much for ODST, I would actually enjoy it. Edit: If a con for Firefight is that it doesn't have a Matchmaking Mode, then why isn't that a pro for **** Zombies?
I think firefight is ten times better becasue of what he said you have different kinds of enemys small and big and are more fun to kill other than zombies... the hole time. And also like he said you can change it up with the skulls and have more fun with the skulls that make it harder or just makes the game more enjoyable like Grunt Birthday Party. I give the edge to firefight.
**** zombies I find trickier to win at, but also slightly more fun with the pack-a-punch machine on Der Riese. I love that map although the best I've gotten to is level 28. Firefight I still think is great with its amount of maps and night variants. It's a little annoying though when Black Eye kicks in.
The original **** Zombies map + Der Reise kick Firefight's ass. **** Zombies is just so much more fun to play with friends. You really need to use teamwork to win in **** Zombies. Four crappy guys can really get far with a great strategy and a lot of teamwork. I feel like Firefight you really need a lot of good guys to do really well. And like Purpledinosaur said it's like you need to set aside part of your day to play it. But, Lost Platoon split-screen is really fun. Driving around the chopper is beast.
I am extremely dissapointed and let down by firefight because i thought it was going to be alot like horde or **** zombies which i agree it is but it just is no fun. I almost feel as if it gets too easy and there is no thrill. I found it way too easy to get endure so i will probably sell ODST since i only wanted firefight On the other hand **** Zombies has a massive thrill like when you get the wanderwaffe and MG 42 and there is an army of zombies after you so you throw a monkey bomb. It just has alot more magic in it.
Good post. You gotta remember that Treyarch have whored out the **** Zombie idea, which was effectively a steal from Left 4 Dead anyway, to it's full extent. They have brought out like 3 DLC's so far, and gone way beyond what would be considered 'believable', with ridiculous locations and weapons included just to interest you a little more. Bungie are always going to operate within their own set parameters with DLC, so they have greater restrictions in which to create something fun and new.
