That was me... Its not possible because "virgil" keeps recharging your shields and when you leave virgil your shields run out.
Actually, you don't have shields. It's only when you're near your VIP that you gain and recharge them. 2 or 3 headshots with a carbine is easily enough to kill(when you're not within proximity of Virgil)
I love this game! It plays very well, and the map looks great, but I really think you should increase the VIP proximity traits to the next amount of meters. Other than that, good job.
It's a common misconception that extending the radar will make the height of the proximity traits go up. 40 meters was a bit too much, 30 was just the perfect length after multiple testing. The hornet did not spawn at 3 minutes exactly because someone in your game either joined or left the game late. I don't know why it happens, it just does but the wait time isn't very long, just another 30 usually less seconds.
okay, thanks. Sometimes it doesnt spawn till like 30 seconds in though, but obviously you have no control over it. I like this gametype, I can see something like this being turned into the 'Asset mappack', lots of potential for this gametype
Like I said, I have no control over this and it all basically depends on when the person joins. I recommend you make the party invite only while you're playing is my only suggestion to fix this problem. A possible idea, but I'm busy with school and other things at the moment. I can see how this could work, and I might pick this up with help from the right people and if I can find the time.
My god... its amazing, the most perfectly laid out map and gametype for this type of casual map I have ever seen, considering that it would be exactly like the mission when you are protecting virgil, I have to say this is the coolest firefight themed H3 map I have ever seen and I will most definetly download. The gameplay seems like it would be dead on tho the ODST gameplay, and not only that, but it loooks like it would be a blast. 5/5 amazing job Rifte Gifle, I am now nominating this for a feature, the video is enough evidence for me.
Guys, if this gametype really gets popular, would you like me to make a detailed guide on how to make your very own 'Asset maps?' Yes or no? I've had a few people ask me already, but I just want to see what everyone else thinks of this.
Just read what you had for the guide... 16694 charachters long lol. Without pix. But I personally say do it. Hoepfully thisll catch on like conquest, I can definetly see this being used by a lot of other people, it's very creative. I sux at forge just all around... maybe there are others who would like to make something for this though.
great map 10/5 i had so much fun playing on this it was amazing the drop pods once again where great and overall the gameplay was really fun and reminded me alot of firefight and yet it was so different. and great use of the vip gametype i had a blast playing and cant to see the other maps you come out with and look forward on working on one
This is pretty cool, I really like the class selection and the drop pods. One dumb question, how do you get it so you can fight out there without the guardian towers blasting you? Do they only pick you up if you cross the border, but spawning outside is safe? Edit: Spawning out there sure isnt the answer
Nope, the guardians are blocked. This means that there is something (I used tube Y pieces for my map) blocking the gaurdian lasers.
That was my next guess, I was not aware you could get close enough to successfully block every angle. Cool, good to know thanks!
Well if you download the map, you'll notice that the drop pods are higher than the guardians and in forge mode, you can even go to there and see how they were blocked off. There's only one tube y piece used for each tower btw.
Wow, this map looks awesome! Like the whole class idea I'm trying to incooporate something like that into a left for dead no mercy map I'm making. I'll try to test this out next time I get a good cutom game going with slot of people (which happens very rarely, haha). 10/10 fo sho.
This map is really cool looking, and I had lots of fun playing it online with lots of people. I kinda want the hornet to spawn faster because its really hard to survive for three minutes as virgil but I love the addition of the golf ball becase it was kinda boring in the room before.
There's not too many classes because I wanted to keep the game as simple as I could. I personally hate having 6 or 7 classes, because you'd have to get used to every single one of them which is in my opinion, what makes class type games fail. Better to keep it nice and simple. Besides, don't you have enough weapon choice as a regular brute anyways? I could throw in a deployable cover and carbine in it's own slot and say, "there a jackal". But that would be lame, because they'd have the traits of a brute. Also, you have that option for weapon/equipment when you're a regular brute. Thanks for the nice rating and playing anyways. You played one of the older versions where there was a hammer and fuel rod chieftain, so that's probably why it felt impossible to win. It's not like that anymore. And the reason the hornet spawns at 3 minutes is to make games as long as possible.
