I, Devil95 are making a remake of The Pit. The Map will take few weeks and again the ODST Campaign Map Pack comes next month. The Pit is 1 of the few remakes I'm planning. Now heres the tricky part. I dont like forging remakes alone. So Im asking any forger to help me conquer this map. If anyone can please comment below and Send Me a FR. Thanks look for this map coming out later this month.

Did someone say 'Waist of Time'? Do you really think he cares what you think? If you would've told Mick making a remake of Blackout would be a 'waist' of time, do you think he would of cared? Probably not. ..and Devil, I honestly love The Pit, as it is my favorite map on Halo 3, and I'm quite interested to see how this project unfolds. Best of luck to you! =)
Easy answer to why remake it. Why not? Better answer, with a remake you now have immovable objects to edit it in ways not possible prior. Also remakes allow for different skins, letting you take a break from old styles.
sorry i just don't see the point of remakes in general but thats just my opinion you can do what ever you want
Well if he made a good remake, then anyone that wants to alter the map geometry can easily do so, say for example, if you wanted to get rid of the wall corners on top of the sniper towers, you can.
Thanks Guys For all the support really into this project the pit is one of the best maps in halo 3 and metalwaddledee is correct about how awesome it is to remake a map instead of plying the old one. thanks for the support. still need a forger.
I think it'd be cool, but I honestly don't see you having enough budget for that... The pit, while small, is quite large if you look at it in terms of unique shapes and areas.
honestly, I hate going to the map section and seeing remakes of HALO 3 maps. I like Halo 2 remakes, or remakes from other games, because it brings maps that we no longer have into the game. But this would just be bringing a worse version of an existing map by Bungie... Go ahead and make it, but what's the point in posting, even if it looks nice, it's very likely Bungie's will be better.
