Alright. Some of you may think this is a stupid question, but i want to know. why dont plasma grenades stick to your hand when you throw them. also, why dont plasmas stick to walls, the ceiling, etc?

Because it would be stupid for them to stick to your hand, they would be pointless in game, and it would mess up gameplay to stick to walls. They only stick to organic things I suppose, oh well that and armor.

It's not actually a "make sense" thing it's a "This or the game would suck" thing.

Well duh. But they've got to have some sort of "scientific" reason for this. I would say because the grenade knows the difference between a wall and somebodies armor. As for the sticking to your hand, the grenade most likely becomes active after you release a button (which is when you through it).

I think they don't become sticky until slightly after you press the button and throw them.
It's like how frag grenades don't blow up in your hand.

But you are trying to scientifically understand fiction.

Spike grenades make more sense than plasma grenades.

i agree because its always the larger end that sticks, so the other end is like a handle.

It happens because plasma grenades get lonely, and need a partner. You've been mean to them, and kept them disarmed for so long, so they dislike you. And they know that inanimate objects don't make good company.

They don't become sticky until before detonation, which is as they make contact with an object. If you threw it at yourself, it would sick.

yes but that brings us back to the wall/inanimate object problem. so im sticking with Camel Carcass's explanation.

Uh, no they don't. It's a game. Did they ever explain how Truth's chair floats?
How the covenant ships work? How most of the covenant species have two arms and two legs and speak English?

Am I not getting my point across?

If it sticks to your hand, it's not a grenade; it's a suicide bomb.

Books make more sense than plasma grenades.

Military expirements show that grenades that stick to targets are not as hopeful as you may think. They tried doing expirements involving greanades similar to Plasma grenades, except the grenade itself was not made with alien technology. Anyway the grenades were immediately discontinued due to the grenade sometimes not leaving the host's hand. (They stick themselves on accident.) (teehee) History/Discovery Channel pays off. I still have no idea what the formula is to not allow the grenade to stick to the Halo players hand, but who knows, it's the future.
