yeah same here, if anyone has any small 1v1 map designs i now have free time and wanna start forging agian.
I'm afraid that last part is a problem. I don't think there is very many amazing forgers out there and if there are, then they probably already have big projects on their agendas. You mean that you want it clean. I understand what you're saying, I'm just in a contradictory mood.
So I've finally decided to post this, Catalyst: Designed by ZoroSeerus and Soloist Link To Sketch. It is compressed, but still slow.
Hectic, here's yours. I know it took me a while, but I think I've reached a reasonable design. Here's the download link Pics: Here's a picture of the Cave callout below Mid (Mid has been hidden). Thoughts are appreciated.
This baby is outrageous in terms of the alloted items, but I thought it was too damn pretty to keep a secret. No, you may not attempt this, nor should you. Also, Scott. You need to update this thread the next time you sign on, as more people have been posting designs.
That looks awesome for "MLG Multi team". I was in a party with RehnX and b0b last weekend and we were testing settings for MLG MT. The only thing I can suggest at the moment is adding railings to the bases and some walkways (assuming this is going to be built in the Skybubble).
That looks amazing, the gameplay is probably pretty good, but I can see a lot of spawn killing happening because the map is so open.
Hiiiiiiiiiijo That's the code name. It became by randomly typing in letters. It said Hijo. Anyway, this design features several different areas: High Side, Low Side, Right Courtyard, Left Courtyard, Right Platform, Left Platform, Top Middle, and Bottom Middle. Teams begin at either the High or Low side. These two run parallel to each other. Perpendicular to them, 2 courts yards span the gap made by the two sides. The platforms are slightly elvated above the for aforementioned areas. Both run parallel to the courtyards with some additional parts. Then there is the central structure that looms over the map. Don't be weary though, many sight lines have been cut to ensure that gameplay will play to the best extent. As for weapons I have been thinking a power wep in high side, low side, and bottom mid. Rockets, Sniper(x2?), Shotgun/Sword(?). That;s as for as I though it out. I am not sure about spawns either. Original: Spoiler Overview: High Side: Low Side: Left Courtyard: Right Courtyard: Left Plat: Right Plat: Bottom Mid: There is no lift, but look where the large wedge is... Thoughts?
Hey I started to download Google SKetchUp, too. But now I have a question. All the items in the forge on Sandbox. Do I have to rebuild every Box or Wall in that programm to use it? Or does somebody has all the items in a file which I could get? peace Ad1
Hello, viewer, sent here by my link because you need help using Sketchup. I will explain how to get Sketchup, how to get the objects(components), and how to make it easier running-wise for low-end computers. To get sketchup, all you need to do is this: 1. Download sketchup 7.1. 2. Download the sandbox Template, aand save to a place you can access quick and easy (documents folder maybe) 3.Open up a blank canvas, and open the sandbox canvas by going to FILE, OPEN, and finding it. 4. When it's open, press FILE, SAVE AS TEMPLATE, (DEFAULT TEMPLATE). Now I can guide you through some steps here. 1. Here's a link to download Sketchup 7.1. It's at the right in the middle of the page, and it reads, Download Google SketchUp 7. Click and follow their orders until you've downloaded it. Save it as well so you can continue to use it. 2a. Here's a link to the Ultimate Sketchup Template Compilation where you can find the Ultimate Sandbox Sketchup Template. 2b. When you click the Ultimate Sandbox sketchup Template at the top of the page it should bring you to filefront. Just Press DOWNLOAD NOW, and remember to save to a place/folder you can quickly access. 3. Once thats done downloading, open up sketchup on any random canvas; you'll be using the canvas for about 10 seconds. When it loads, find where you saved you sandbox template, and open it. 4. A new sketchup page should pop up. It's ok, just press START USING SKETCHUP at the bottom right. Then the Sandbox template should pop up. Then save it as a template by going to FILE, SAVE AS TEMPLATE, and name it and set it to default template. If you don't know how to access objects, here's how: 1. Click the WINDOW tab at the top right column. 2. Click on COMPONENTS. 3. Click on the house icon once the components window pops up. 4. All the pieces are there to place. If you have a slow computer, then do these steps to increase performance: 1. Click the VIEW tab. 2. Click FACE STYLE. 3. Click on MONOCHROME. This sets all objects to have their textures turns to white, and certain shades of white, including the ground level of sandbox. This should be easier on your computer's performance and help it work faster. I hope this helped you, and anyone wanting to use sketchup looking at this.
are you going to be attempting this mick? if so, ou might want to add an upper shelf around the outside of the elbow.
I'm thinking I'll have time in a few weeks to build some things, this might be one of them. Still in the design phases, got some more budget than i expected I would so I'll play with that for a while...
my thoughts are the elbow seems like it would be push and pull, with the manconnon as a way around. Put one more path from base to base, either lower or higher, and add a height advantage to the corner. Brainstorming, will post ideas as they come. Edit: is there a lower path on the outside of the elbow? I can't tell, but I see part of a lower section by the red base. Edit2: I really didn't look very hard at the picture, I didn't notice the hollowed part under the main level. I still think a shelf on the very corner would work very well.
