Shoot My Dinghy Map: Boat Racing Gametype: Shoot My Dinghy This is a very, very simple map, but still fun. There is only one objective, and that is to shoot your dinghy...and I guess reach the goal at the end. Shooting the front of your dinghy will not only keep you from sinking but it will also propel you in the direction you are shooting, thus you can race against others. P.S. Assassinating is -1 point 4 player maximum 0% damage 25% speed 200% gravity I am also open for suggestions! I've been thinking of putting fusion coils in the water or hidden man-cannons. Please post your ideas and enjoy!
Looks a bit like my map but NVM. You haven't copied it completely like some people. You'll find it works better if you turn the boats around so that you shoot the engine and effectively drive them 'backwards.' I suppose my map inspired this and if not well... meh. I'll give a download.
That looks really cool! I am definitely going to try this out. I will let you know if I have any complaints!
Sorry to say, I started making this as soon as longshore was released with the expansion of Halo 3 Mythic. I have seen your map and I must say it is actually quite different than mine. I like having the boats facing foward just because it looks more realistic.....in a way. I don't know why it took me so long to post, I guess I kept on adding stuff thinking it looks cool, then taking it away thinking it was unnessessary.
I guess you're right. I just thought that maybe you saw my map and thought: "hey that looks cool, I'll make a map like that, but it'll be a race, but I'll make my own map for it" But, still it looks really cool and I'll be playing it tomorrow
Well if you want to talk about realistic then I dont think making bullet holes in your boat to move it very feasible... just saying. Using fusion coils and man cannons might make this more exciting or maybe not just a straight line as the course for a V2.
It's like my map "I'm On a boat" only better! YAY! I like how you added the shooting to the map. It's also cool how the fact that there is no wals isn't a problem!
Just to be clear Fusionguy, no one is stealing any of your ideas. I don't know you, your maps aren't very popular, and you are definitely not the center of attention, so don't act that way. We are free to do whatever we want with whatever maps we want. I don't remember you being elected Sheriff of the internet. Please grow up. Cool map, maybe you should put walls to separate the boats because assassinations could happen very often, not to mention stealing boats and cheating. Original concept, nice work.
Come on guys, this is an obvious idea, how it is executed is what is important, and this is executed great. Hey, psst! geranimo. NO NOT YOU MISTER NOT GOING TO FORGE THIS WELL!!! Okay, listen carefully. Do you know what would be a stupid idea? having this race start at the other far end of the dock and finish at the start of this map. Also, have multiple VIP points throughout the race. And dumbest of all, put some sort of small two person vehicle on the dinghies.
