GTA IV is the most realistic GTA so far. Many would agree it to be the best. But it can still be improved. What I would like to see in 'GTA V' General - Armour should only let you take less damage from bullets. It itself shouldn't deplete. You should only need to re-buy it after you die/get busted - A new map, bigger than San Andreas. And maybe instead of islands, some mountains or geographical features that restrict players to the map. - Maybe a system where you can't carry 10 different weapons. Maybe only unless you buy a special coat, like in The Matrix, so you can hold a million billion guns again. - Walking down the street with a big gun out should trigger 'suspicion' from cops. You wouldn't get a star, but a cop may come up to you and tell you to put it away, and if you don't you may get a star. - Bring back the response thing from San Andreas! Remember, "press > to respond positively" etc.? - Difficulty settings. On harder modes, stars are activated more often, are harder to evade, missions are harder, and you get paid less etc. Cars - When you crash at 80mph, you should die or at least take damage. - Maybe include some kind of fuel system. Not necessarily so that you have to fill up, maybe so ramming other cars gets you fuel? (Like in GTA III, but with money? I didn't say it had to be realistic). - When you have a head-on collision, you should get smoke from the engine straight away, maybe have the car be immobilised like in real life? - Speeding past a cop car should trigger a star. Just to make it hard. Aircraft - Planes. Flyable planes. Lots of 'em! Like in San Andreas. - Keep helicopters the same; maybe make them a tad weaker - More airports. Full stop. That's all I can think of atm. Post your ideas!
More uses for money. More replayability generally, even though GTA 4 has tons of that. Also, many buildings that you have the freedom to enter and exit. If there's an online mode, they could probably work on that by simplifying it and making it better for parties. Oh, and last but definitely not least: Cops that aren't stupid But we all know that won't happen...
More random cheats - That was half the fun for me.. Spoiler Plus I loved combining cheats to make an awesome effect, like in Vice City.. what u do is the big wheel cheat (which made the car heavy), then slow motion. Bang, you've got a tank basically going at 100 mph, ramming cars and watching them fly in smooth slow motion. Priceless. Bring back the parachute? I actually liked trying to land on cars and stuff. Bring back the chainsaw! I loved running around with that thing lol.. (I'm not sure if they already have this) ..but they should have an option to turn off blood/gore/sex references/cursing.. I can't play the game with my parents in the same house cuz of that crap. Bring back the skill levels, so it takes more time to learn how to drive/run/stuff More jumps. Definitely more jumps.
Nothing i would like them to not make another one GTA IV ruined it for me the ones before were awsome if they do make more (they will) i wont them to be more like the old games
I believe they removed planes because people where purposely flying them into buildings. (9/11 reference which was offensive to some) Also, I'd love random cheats. Bring Back/add these cheats: Speed-o-metre Car Jump (Push a button, fly into the air) Cars on water Tank! Modifiable car speed (e.g. an option between 2x, 3x, 4x, etc) Invulnerability - For those people who love making insane jumps and not dying. Low gravity A cheat to make rails weaker (crash through them, rather then stop) A vehicle library - Enter the cheat and you have an option of all vehicles(Menu pops up) (Each requires a different code) A cheat to change car skins
New stuff for driving I just thought of: - Make lamp posts not just detach from the ground. I dunno about you, but I've seen a car hit a lamp posty IRL. It bends and can fall over, but it won't be uprooted. - Small trees should at least shake when you hit them. - Maybe dread's speedometer idea could be part of the HUD.
- More customization - REPLAYABLE missions - Parachutes - More guns, like have a wide variety of them - Better way to aim and shoot while driving - Better cars - more aircraft, a useful attack one, and some planes (Like private jets and WW2 planes) - Better cheats - Alot of things to do after the story, this was my main problem with GTA 4, in the other GTA's I would still play months after the story was done but after I beat GTA 4, all i did was a little multiplayer then sold it 2 weeks later for SR2, which where a bunch of those ideals are from. Thats all I can think of for now
Parachutes, more realistic weapons, more helicopters, airplanes, more cars, less ragdoll physics. GTA4 doesn't need much improvement for those who enjoy realism. (Without it being too realistic, like stopping for gas, or getting arrested for speeding, or toting guns around, or parking violations, etc.)
I'd like to see more options for machinima creators(mainly on consoles, the pc has options already) I haven't spent much time on this game(only at friends houses and with my brother.)
I would like it to be set in a really interesting, foreign city, like Tokyo. Go back to the San Andreas set up (rpg elements, cheats, the FUN stuff). Coop.
Ahhh, a cooperative mode where you don't have to be right NEXT to each other. It gets sooooo annoying. Also, i would like to see the return of planes ;]
Oh, they removed planes from GTA4 because they thought players would stupidly re-enact 9/11 or crash into buildings or whatever. It's all because of the press, always criticizing GTA games.
That's a stupid myth that needs to be gotten rid of. Seriously think about what an Airplane would add to GTA 4. Where are you going to land a plane? It's already difficult enough to land a helicopter. There is only one airport instead of San Andreas's 4. Yes, the press is pretty harsh on GTA but it's not that harsh. Besides, you can still renact 911 with a chopper.
Its not difficult to land a helicopter lol its easy as anything anyway even thought there is only one airport you could still land a plane on various straight aways in the city. What really is hard is landing an At400 on the aircraft carrier in San Andreas.
Land the helicopter with the intent of getting it back up. You need a junction for that. Even then, you have the risk of random cars flipping it to it's side.
I would like for more buildings to be open for walking around in. Also, I think you should be able to shoot while laying on the ground after getting hit by a car, etc instead of taking forever to get up. A prone position could coincide with that. As far as realism, I think gta4 has a good amount. It's fine to go flying through the windshield in single player, but I like being able to crash into **** in party/free mode.
i would like to see an online mode in which everyone just kills each other, and it would be so shitty, but it would be so amusing... yes... All of those... WAIT, PARTY MODE? IS THERE ALREADY ONLINE PLAY?
