End Of The Line Created by Draw The Line Discovered in the American frontier back in the early 19th century, this mine was soon abandoned in hopes of finding more lucrative grounds in California. Not much remains of the abandoned mine, the only exception being the old steam locomotive thats sits atop a bridge in the middle of the quarry. The passageways out of the quarry have long since collapsed, and that steam engine has reached its last destination...the End of the Line. End of the Line is an open aired asymmetrical map thats intended to offer fast, competitive combat. While the map feels open, the train and bridge cutting through the center of the map really helps break the line of sight. Small nooks and ledges can be found throughout the map and help the map feel like a real quarry. Each side of the map is balanced using different weapons. The blue base has a rocket launcher and a sword, while red base holds a spartan laser and a shotgun. Both bases house a sniper rifle, which can be devastating in the right hands. Battle rifles and carbines can be found throughout the map, and are a great defensive measure against a marksman. A single overshield can be found at the center of the quarry, and is usually rushed for at the beginning of a match. Some of the power weapons are not in plain sight, so you'll have to go looking for a few if you want to use them. They shouldn't be too difficult to stumble upon. Gametypes Supported: Slayer/Team Slayer One Flag/Multi Flag King of the Hill Territories One Bomb Assault Oddball Infection The creator, Draw The Line, recommends playing a game of 1 flag on this map. It should play similar to 1 flag on Relic from Halo 2. The defenders have the advantage at first, but once the flag is off the train the momentum swings to the offensive team. This isn't a new map is it? its just getting featured I have seen it before and the train looks amazingly good it's qued for now, 5/5
When I first scrolled down to look at the pics and i saw the train I thought it was photoshopped into the pic for a few seconds. It looks amazing!
I downloaded this a while ago. It's about time this got featured! Amazing layout, it looks even better than the pics show. My friends and I have had a ton of fun on this map. Highly recommend.
When I saw the pic with old timer style I thought that it was fake (good locomotive you have there). I was hoping to see the first "lockout" remake featured here (jk) but this is nice too. Good job.
This was always, and always will be a great aesthetic map. That train is genius. Glad to see it finally got front page.
I played on this map and it was awesome. Really cool train and had great replayability. My only problem is that I can get out of it easily.
I dl this map when it was 1st posted. It good to see it on the home page. I love playing hide and seek on it
I still remember the first time I played this map. DtL didn't tell us anything about it, and when it loaded my jaw dropped. I was like "is that a train?!?!?" This is a really cool map. By the way, the poll is up now, so go vote.
