    To a limited amount.

One day when I was forging, I put a box into the water (and it floats). I then saved the game, restarted it and made the player gravity 50% (lighter). I stepped off the box into the water by accident, I was expecting to sink but something else happened. I floated. After a few seconds I decided to move forward, and it worked! I started moving through the water's surface with nothing below me. After about 10m, I sank and died.

This is probably due to the fact that less gravity means the player won't sink as fast (it reminds me of quicksand). So you would have more time to float in the water, or swim, but eventually you will sink.

Currently I don't have a video of it, but it can be recreated fairly easily.

Was it like quicksand? If it was, sweet.

That may be one of the most amazing discoveries on Longshore! (#1 is the Fish Tacos Schedule....sorry) I am definitely making a map that uses this.

Can't get it to work, perhaps you shouldn't fall into the water, but walk into it at an even level

Edit: Got it to work, I bobbed up in time 3 times before dying though so... You may have just gotten lucky, but you have to enter the water at an even level, don't jump into it

A similar glitch was found on the day the DLC was released, mentioned in a post about the "Forging Potential" of the new maps. He called it a buoyancy glitch and placed a video of it in his fileshare, which I rendered. He has been unsuccessful in replicating it, but the first time he managed it, he had placed a door under water and then dropped a ghost on top of it. When he attempted to enter the vehicle, the following occurred:

You did not supply a video in your post, but is this what you experienced?

Interesting, that would be cool if I would work all the time no matter what the conditions. That would make it really cool to be like swiming and having a battle at the same time.
