Thanks, I got the whole mythology theme from valhallas name, and asgard kinda sounds along the same track.
I have to say, I'm truly impressed. The Valhalla base looks incredibly well done and the Relic base seems to be coming along nicely. The areas between the two are kind of open but I assume you're just going to finish the other base before you work on any other structures. I'm truly curious to see how the final product turns out. Few ideas for names: Familiarity; Spireworks; Stiletto; Primeval; Plethora; Ethos; Viridian; Dethroned; Nascence; Armistice; Akeldama; Personally, I think you should go with Plethora or Akeldama.
Thanks, I think you nailed the idea, once the relic base gets done I'm doing a catwalk like structure that's about a double block high, and some pillars protruding from the sand and arching towards the map creating cover from the banshee. I had to warm up geomerging on sandbox before I started this and I guess my geomerging skill improved since foundry.
Yeah i know you started this long before the new no clip/ ghost merging technique came out, so that will help you alot i bet on finishing this map.
0_o i know borg hadn't heard of it but i thought u might of, oh well Linky: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-forge-discussion/85959-new-forge-glitch.html It's basically a way to geomerge without going under the map, very useful.
I'm sorry but that post was way too complicated to understand how to do it, could you tell me in laymans terms?
I'm absolutely loving the crap out of the Valhalla copy base. The gold trim along the middle areas look great, I saw Multilockon use a similar technique on his mega obelisk on his map. I reckon do a little swapzies on the exterior buildings. Relic's spire is a little smaller than valhalla's spire, so have some taller buildings on the Relic side, though not tall enough to either get on top of or see crap loads of the map from. Then on Valhalla side maybe add some stumpier buildings, that you may or may not be able to traverse, but once again, not high enough to have an overview. Finish off with a few walkways on both sides. That may seem like a rubbish idea, but that to me sounds like a good aesthetic idea, not necessarily gameplay idea I hope you finish this ASAP. I'd love to see the finished result. Absolute win, and you always have been, Chaos. That and the master of dying. EDIT-TASTIC: Scobra's name idea for "Stilleto" is good. Sounds much more fitting than the current name.
