Some people weight lift to do better in sports or stay in shape. I was wondering if any of us forgers lift.

I do, been doing it for about the past 2 months or so for my first year of HS football.

    Put you're guys':

    Age:
    Height:
    Weight:
    Max Bench Press (1 Rep):
    Max Squat (1 Rep):
    Max Deadlift (1 Rep):

    For me, it is:

    Age: 14
    Height: 5'8
    Weight: 137 lbs
Max Bench Press (1 Rep): 150 lbs
Max Squat (1 Rep): 210 lbs
Max Deadlift (1 Rep): 245 lbs

I don't really have the mentality to weight lift, but I get motivation and it makes me want to. I've been basically a star for our football team (Midget-JR High) and the HS Coaches, friends, parents, ect. are looking forward to me continuing how I play the game throughout high school. THAT gives me motivation to weight lift and I do it. Also the dream that most boys of my age have of playing professional football (AFL or NFL).

Also, I LOVE the atmosphere in the weight room.

Sure, I weight lift. It's fun, except on days when we run. I suck so much at running, i kinda dont feel like weight lifting on those days. Anyways:

Age: Only on a need to know basis
    Height:approx. 5'10"
    Weight: Need to know basis
Max Bench Press (1 Rep): about 155 lbs.
Max Squat (1 Rep): 135 lbs. (i dont use them much)
Max Deadlift (1 Rep): 250 lbs

Keep in mind i dont play sports, so, yeah, i have no idea with what that has to do with it.

I get that a lot walking around school. Dead Lift is where you have a bar with weight on it on the ground, all you do is stand up with it and it will look like you are trying to arch your shoulders.

Gahhh... is that a typo?, because that is really tall. I mean, both of my brothers are pretty tall, but 6' 7" is crazy... and I mean that in a good way. ;)

    And here's mine:

    Age: No
    Height: Yes
    Weight: Kindof
Max Bench Press (1 Rep): Maybe, I don't know
Max Squat (1 Rep): Yup huh...
    Max Deadlift (1 Rep): Yes...

As in, I don't care/ do that stuff...

I myself dont lift weights (yet), mostly because i'm only twelve.

One thing that bugs me though, is exercising indoors. Why cant people just run up a mountain, instead of sticking to a dingy little machine!

    It is better.

    And safer.

At 12 years old, I mildly lifted for Midget Footbal, not a lot though, maybe once or twice every 2 weeks. I think I maxed around 110 or something for bench lol.

You can be toned without having bulging muscles.

I weight lift, but it is with my dads old stuff. It has barely any heavy stuff. Its only like 20 lbs, so I do a lot of reps instead. I guess I'll see if I can figure out how to add more weight to it. ^^
