When did this become about buying a real guitar? How bout we stay away from that.

Personally I think they should combine all of them together... I would like to see over 1000 songs. Plus the ability to import them. That would be great.

that would also cost about 1000 dollars
it costs money to lisense(sp) songs for use in RB/GH
thats why all the old guitar hero games used covers; its cheaper than a master track.

I really doubt that they would have to repurchase the licenses to all the songs they ALREADY purchased. Besides, I'm pretty sure it doesn't cost a dollar for each song for a company, also not to forget some bands are nice and allow them to use them for a lower price too.

songs do need to be reliscensed.
Thats why you can't play all the songs from rock band 1 on rock band 2.

Rock Band 2 will have over 1000 available songs by the end of the year, I believe.

Too bad I dislike Rock Band.

It's not because the whole GH is better than RB thing, but I like fact I can change speed in GH to better read the notes. RB kinda... holds ya down if you know what I mean. Idk why, but I can hit notes easier on GH with the speed on that off.

Other than that, I also don't like the RB controllers, or the new GH controllers even. I'd like to stick with my old regular GH3 wireless controller.

But yeah, I like both of 'em, but it would be better if RB would add a speed multiplier.

Hopefully, you've never played Rock Band 2 before dude.
I have to break it to you, RB2 has a breakneck speed option on it.
I use my Guitar Hero 2 controller for RB2 but I don't know if the newer GH instruments work with RB2 though.

Nope, my friends have the first one. It's nice that they included that option. Now they just gonna make good, reliable guitars.

They're mad overrated... most important band of our generation my ass..

That don't matter atm, i'm just trying to point out that there is no reasonwhy getting discovered by the public would have that much impact on a bands sound, if anything it improves it by allowing the artist access to a wider rang of tech to create the music they want

Break neck speed is useless. The highway is shorter than that of Guitar Hero's, so on faster songs where the notes actually need to be spread out the good and the bad cancel each other out. Sure, the notes are more spread out, but then the time between when the note comes on screen to when it hits the break line is way too short. Plus, GH has six speed settings rather than 2.

And yeah, the newest GH instruments work fine for me, but the GH3 Les Paul was the best.

Honestly, the band that really deserves a game is Led Zeppelin.

I'll go through the songs that need to be in there:
    Led Zeppelin I
    • Good Times Bad Times
    • Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (Acoustic)
    • Dazed and Confused
    • Communication Breakdown

    Led Zeppelin II
    • Whole Lotta Love
    • What Is and What Should Never Be
    • Heartbreaker
    • Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman)
    • Ramble On
    • Moby ****

Led Zeppelin III (Mostly a slower acoustic album, not very good for a game
    • Immigrant Song
    • Celebration Day
    • Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

    Led Zeppelin IV
    • Black Dog
    • Rock and Roll
    • The Battle of Evermore (Semi-Acoustic)
    • Stairway to Heaven
    • Misty Mountain Hop
    • Going to California (Acoustic)

    Houses of Holy
    • Entire Album

OK, I'm getting bored. But you get the idea. There are still 4 more albums I think, but I am lazy. Too bad Led Zeppelin won't give up the master tracks.

    Good day sir.

Ahh Dude Zep Would Be Awesome...
I don't think Jimmy's aware of the immense power of Rock Band/Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero/Rock Band games have inspired 60% of the worlds teens to join or create a band in real life...

Including Me... Yes, You heard me correctly. 7th Soul was inspired by Rock Band. And Zep giving they're masters to Harmonix would most definitely expand they're fan base by ALOT but i don't think jimmy realizes that

And for the record, All Zep members want they're songs on rock band but Jimmy Page doesn't like the idea...

...So if we kill Jimmy we'll get Zep on rock band...
