thats prolly what...BUTTTTT if you really want to... and your willing to put in the effort, and your tech savvy, there is a great tutorial Here and Here to making an external, and inconspicuous battery pack, that should last you a good long while. Instructables is a great website in general, hope you enjoy
No thanks, I have limited pocket space, and besides, I'd probably try eating the batteries if I ever got extremely mint-less.
lol =] alright, well other than that I dot see another way, you'll prolly have to get a new Ipod, as if its 2 years old its reaching the end of its life span.
The battery is dying. Apple made these to only last so long so you would keep buying them. Dirty trick, but it works. Or you can flash/corrupt your iPod and get a new one from the Genius Bar. *Nvm, that only works if your still under warranty.
Yeah, I agree with everyone else. It's reaching the end of it's life. Time to put the old dog out to pasture.

I bought a new battery for my ipod and installed it myself. It cost about $40, but it saved me a lot of money. Not only that, but the new battery gives you a longer charge than the original. Its not hard at all, and there isn't much inside....a screen, and hard drive and a battery. If you are at all tech savvy, you can do it without a problem. The only tricky part is opening the case, but with a little patience you can coax it open. I bought my replacement battery at a local electronics store....but here is a website that shows you how you can replace it yourself. http://www.ipodjuice.com/5th-genera...products.htm?gclid=CKWY-_KX3pICFQEoPQod3FCGkg
http://homepage.mac.com/paalb/iPod/iPod2.html Following those insructions, I added an hour or two back to my iPod's battery life. It isn't as good as when I got it, but it is a lot better than it was a month ago.
I bought my ipod mini 3 years ago, in december it had about a 30 minute charge with 2 sec backlight, i had the warranty or whatever so i sent it back with 60 bucks and they sent me a new one in about a week. 60 bucks is better than 200 for a new one thats too small to hardly fit in your hands anyway. all i want to do is listen to music, i don't need the fancy stuff. If you don't have the warranty or don't have the 60 bucks i don't know what to tell you, because you can't get a new one with 60 bucks. if you do send it back in, once you get it, first time let the battery completely drain, then use normally, it will increase the long time battery life, i'm sure you knew this anyway.
