Alright so im working on a map on ghost town and i tried this glitch with the barricade but, it didnt work. I tried multiple times to see if i had done something wrong, but to no avail. So then i tried it with another object. I used the fence wall and it worked. Is the barricade movable or something? because once you place it you throw grenades and hit it and it wont budge. So i thought that meant it was immovable. Any one know a solution to this? EDIT: Sweet nevermind ignore my comment, for some reason you had to wait forever after it disappeared for it to work.
Dont worry, i already got it in the tips. Yours is pretty clear, and it will definately be referenced if somebody needs help. Dont we all love helpful people? 's okay. I got it all fixed up. Thanks for noticing that it wasnt clear. Has anybody checked if the dupe works? Yes, it would lag up the game, but wouldnt it be amazing if you could make a map with more than two blue or red lights? Ambience would become amazing...
well done, very well done you guys have opened doors to more impatiant forges (me) and more geographicaly pleasing maps
Has anyone else noticed that the item that is no clipped is not affected by man cannons or grav lifts, meaning you can easily interlock a grav lift in to an item without starting a new round? Also does anyone know if this technique works with grav lifts so that you can put them under the map to make them indestructible?
You can do this with any object, i think. But I have a strange feeling that something wouldn't allow the grav lift to stay put. After you put the lift under the map the force from the grav lift may make it fall into nothingness.
this is amazing thankyou soooo much for posting this i am going to use it for now on. although it is kinda confusing at first
Grav Lifts are movable, so basically no for those objects. Man Cannons, however, are immovable. You CAN glitch those and put them wherever and however you want. Also, Thankt to everybody who has read this and made it the second most veiwed thread in this section. Yay!!!
That doesnt help my massive ego at all. But, thanks to you and the six thousand people (and counting!) that have made sure this wasnt dismissed as lag, or simply a modded game. Infact, neither of those was mentioned more than once. I suppose I have Fritzer to thanks for discovering how it worked so quickly. Also, normally I wouldnt be suprised, mostly because nothing new had been discovered for years. But, this has barely been here for a week. Other stickied threads that have been here over 50 times as long dont have as many veiws. That is what amazes me so much. Also, whatever happened to the forging 10 tutorial that was going to be posted? I know it got delayed by tylyr1 discovering how to do it with immovable objects as well, but did you guys decide that this thread seemed to be helpful enough? Its not really important, I just happen to be a bit curius. Edit: Tylyr1 gets a lot of credit.
You seem to be taking credit for the technique. Don't get me wrong, you got the ball rolling. Yet you discovered a now-obsolete glitch that was exciting for like 4 days. What was amazing then isn't now, and without a better way to say this, thank you and goodbye. (part of this is reference to the fact that you have your method taking up most of the first page with tylyr1's video and some tips)
Bud. He is the original founder of the glitch. Tylyr just came up with an easier way to do it. Both of them deserve the same amount of credit.
who really gives a flying fu-? the point is the glitch is here, and its amazing. I won't see this thread turn into a 'who's getting credit' ordeal consider this your only warning
Actually, no. I made the OLN one easier, but I found out how to do it with any immoveable object without his help (besides the idea of it.)
I agree with Tyler, but c'mon. You wouldn't have been messing around without him making this thread. He found it, you [ty] refined it. But I guess technically you both "discovered" two different things. Sorry for bringing up the 'credit' argument...
TBH, no one's even going to give a damn about who "discovered" the glitch when they're using it, so I don't see a point in your trying to claim your 'rights' over it. Can anyone remember who discovered interlocking at the top of your head? How about geomerging? Yeah. >.>
Any problems with it now? No? Good. Sorry if I made it seem like I took all the credit. Ill try not to make it happen again. And to whoever complained about the way I have to front page set up: Its pointless to describe it because the only thing that changed was how you got the box out of its spawn point. The last half of the tutorial is still exactly the same. If it confuses you, or makes me seem like an ignorant credit stealing asshole, you can go ahead and make a tutorial yourself because the current one is about my fourth draft and a forging 101 is about to come out. Not worth the effort, because soon this thread will become obsolete, at least untill somebody magically finds a way to use the dupe part of this glitch successfully. Yes, I beleive its possible.
