Read the OP, it says we can debate about our view on/about Obama... This thread is no longer about the speech although we can still debate about it. I lean towards the republicans but I am sort of independent, I don't like Obama because I really believe he only won the Election because of Racialism. So far, I've not seen much. In fact it has gotten worse here, my parents are planning on moving to Argentina it's actually a shocker because we are Middle class. We do live in Florida though and this place is expensive.
He pretty much says the same things as my dad. "Turn off the xbox and read a little bit" I do listen too... Well, Obama means well, though I'm surprised that the only promise he hasn't kept is the one for allowing gay marriage. Wonder when he'll find slavery acceptable again. This is my base of discussion.
Personally I don't like Obama. I voted McCain in 2008. People keep going on about how he is the first black president and such. THe man is mixed for Petes sake get it right. Me I have never been a fan of the Democrats for their views on Gun Control. Obama has been steadily increasing the taxes on ammunition and with the Congress going through this new bill to have us go through screening or having the right to take our guns based on such screening I am liking him less and less each day. Perosnally I am against the United Health Care and he could have done a better job of fixing the economy if he had told the companies he gave the packages to what to do with it. Had stings attached to it and what not. I belive a monkey could do a btter job than Obama is. Personally I can't wait till hes out of office.
I love guns as I can tell you do but I can understand the stress on who gets them. Also we had a monkey in office and I rather not have anouther Bush in office I think Obama has his hands filled but he will at least improve our situation from what it was.
I am confused. In this debate, there has been talk of a Socialist agenda (example: universal healthcare). I have never heard of any such thing from this administration. If you do respond to this please provide links to your evidence if you disagree.

Medicare is a government-run health benefit, and it's been around for four and a half decades. Now another health care debate surfaces and the president is getting all this ****. Nothing more than inherent bias against Obama.

That discussion was revolving around that group of people. I wasn't flaming a person. There is such thing about the plural "you." Maybe if you spent more time learing grammar instead of abusing your power. I just watched the President's speech on Health Care tonight and I must say it was powerful, especially the wrap up at the end. I hope his speech finally dispels the rumors about universal healthcare, death panels, and government takeovers forever. Btw I'm sorry for anyone living in South Carolina. Your representative portrayed himself and his state very badly. I am sure this wasn't the man you voted for.
