The screenshot looks cool and you do make a good point about the god thing. It sorta reminds me of the one with the star on guardian (well duh).
Sorry. I'm Christian, and I know this is all in fun, but I find it offensive. I'm not a ranter, but I don't support this shot.
Sorry. I'm not a Christian, and I know the "I love him" screenshot is all in fun, but I find it offensive. I'm not a ranter, but I don't support that shot.
What the Hell? I was just expressing my opinion. Alright. Fine, I didn't make the "I love Him" screenshot anyway. But I understand if you do, but if you aren't Christian, why don't you find this shot offensive as well? I mean, Hail Satan vs Hail Jesus.... Even if you don't believe, that isn't a hard choice to make.
Unless you're satanist, you should find this offensive if you find any other religion screenshots offensive. Though I gotta say, them Christian pics are taking over fileshares like syrup overtakes my waffles. Sorry Joe, but that screenshot does not nearly come far away enough to incorrectly misrepresent the pandimensional being that is or may not be a god, or more imprecisely, a higher authority. Kudos to all that can understand that because I sure can't. I'm just good at writing it. As for the screenshot itself, very well staged, but I still think it would be better if you kept it upside down due to the fact that just seems more evil. And if you could fit it all in the circle, that'd be great too.
You might as well go to hell. Saying you apparently love Satin so much. I feel sorry for you when you die and have to spend the rest of your life away from God.
Why do you find the "i believe" screenshots bad it that persons file share they can put anything short of porn into it you dont have to look in their file share in the first place they are just bold enough to show their beliefs in public. As for the shot though i dont like the perpose behind it (being Christian) i do however like the shot it all looks good and has a great demonic satanic devilish feel to it. It just looks so evil good work.
I made a Hail Satan picture before this , me and my cousin did it, we had a cross and lit it on fire.
I myself am i Christian, and I find that the God thing on halo is a bit ridiculous even for me and I'm a Christian. Halo 3 is a game and even though God says to branch out I seriously think halo 3 isn't the way to go. The picture is funny but also a bit unsettling for me. Nice work to the creator.
I take an agnostic approach to understanding the universe, and base my view of things and reasoning in given situations heavily, and I basically have the same reaction as you to the flood of Cross-themed pics and the like. That said, I can also see why people gravitate to it, from my perspective I understand that faith is something that impacts upon people's lives in varying degrees and ways depending on who they are. People use FS's for all sorts of things, as a personal space I think it has a great (if ultimately rather small) potential for expression of who you are in the real world as well as in Halo. And if people wanna communicate this part of themselves in Halo pics then I have no problem with that, it does little for me personally and I'd rather look at something light hearted and funny any day, but FS's can hardly be called intrusive, so fine by me as it goes. As for the actual pic, I'm kinda with Siebutsu on this one, it's very nicely done and pretty funny, but almost unsettling in it's atmosphere, though I guess that's a merit in itself based on what kinda pic it seems you were going for. Very impressive creation of atmosphere in this pic that I rarely see in Halo screens. Having said that, I don't really see the 'campaign' angle which you seemed to outline in your OP, as I said above, to each their own, and the problem with this on either side is people pushing it on others, that's where it gets annoying.
To me it seems a picture like this would originate more from the idea of using the red lights on Sandbox to create a 'hellish' theme, more than a basic idea to create something religious.
Really well made screenshot but I still don't agree with your explanation of the orientation of the star. The satanist pentagram is meant to represent the devil itself, with the 2 horns, ears and chin, and not so much the fall of satan as a star. The Wicans use your orientation which is more a representation of elements as opposed to a spiritual image. It's also used in other cultures (japanese) as a symbol for strength. So while your explanation might be correct, true satanists would always point it down.
Do you realize that attacking the opposite side of the argument with only cause aggravation and a flame war, face-palm.
