I have found a way to past the small problem with the object going only halfway into the ground. Its really simple, and almost pointless because very few things will need it, but just in case... All you have to do is get under the map, then glitch the objects from below. This works a lot better if you have them directly on top of the ground floor, and if you get them set up so that all you have to do is grab one and dupe it. It probably wont be needed, but as I said I just may help some lucky individual.

I tried it as host and not as host and it didn't work for both, the oln canvas I used had oln items but they had already been moved from thier original spot would that mess it up

You're not doing it right apparently. I did the newest and the first techniques. Both work.

An UrgeTo Dance, you may be confusing host with party leader, host is chosen by the game, and may not be party leader, go into theater the theater lobby to see who the host is, it probably wasn't you. Or just do it by yourself, and follow tylyr's video precisely.

And thank you bungie for making progressively harder to find maps, techniques, and 'glitches' that progressively make forge vastly easier and more exciting. Without your deviantly genius plan of the forge, forgehub.com could very well have dulled and died by now.

When/will a forge 101 come out for this?

Pointer for merging regular immovables with this technique:

When you create a never respawn object, and dummy it, it remains unsuable for the remainder of the round. But, once you place the first object down, you can dummy another object of the same type, and force spawn the same never respawn object to activate the technique again, saving resources.

I dunno if this has already been mentioned, but kay.

I just added a little spoiler with tips in it. If anybody thinks they have something that I need to add to make it more clear, just let me know. I will update the first page as much as possible. And, I will definately let you know. Its not fun to sift through 200+ posts on a forum and try to find a little helpful detail.

I'm having trouble following tylrlr's guide. The never respawn object isn't resetting. Ever.

Do you have to be alone for this to work? Because I was defnintely host.
Can someone help me tomorrow with it?

Be sure you're host. Be sure you're dummying the object correctly and you notice the helper knob is still in it's original position.

    You're probably not dummying right.

The object set to never respawn won't ever reset. But it will disappear, if dummied correctly. As long as you have the other object in your grasp before that object disappears, youll be fine. When it does disappear (don't wait for it to reset.. because its set to never respawn), raise the run time minimum to the highest possible (while still holding the object), and it should duplicate

I think I might have a solution for the invisible block glitch. I don't know if this has been posted already, and I'm sorry if it has, but I think there are two ways of solving it. One would be bracing the no-clipped object with teleporters completely, even underground. Then just double tap it and maybe start a new round. Another one is that you brace it up like I said before, but this time, save and quit. I have never heard of this happening to standard more-than half way geomerges. So double tapping or saving and quitting could possibly solve this glitch. The game will think that you picked it up, therefore any "bad" effects from the glitch would go away. THIS IS JUST A THEROY. I havent actually tested this. But the next time you get the invisble item. Try this.

I'm jealous OP. I did this on accident a long time ago, on one of my failed maps. I just blew it off as a random occurrence. I should have looked into it. In any case, thank you for helping with the discovery of this. :)

This is an amazing discovery, and the next leap in Forge as far as I'm concerned. I wanted to merge a corner wall in one of the back rooms of Foundry and shrugged it off as being too difficult to reasonably achieve. Now I'll be able to do it easy as pie!

If I'm understanding the theory behind how this works I think I may have another way of achieving the same no-clip result. Not nesseccarily an easier way, just a different way. Oh boy, I'm going to experiment later tonight like a prepubescent teen!

Now I might actually try to use Forge now! This invisible object glitch won't be too much of a problem... Right? Is there any way to make sure it is not invisible?

If the object is not OLN, you can start new round and it should be sitting where it was when you dummied it, but I'm not sure about non-OLN objects, but I think if you start new round that the object will be there.

I know that much, but there is a "new" glitch with the glitch (lol) that makes the object invisible to the host in Forge AND Custom Games. Unless I read your post wrong, I think you're thinking of something else.
