too true, if people weren't so easilly distracted and tried to live life to the fullest, the world would be such a better place. that's the line that religion rests upon, sometimes it helps people wring the most out of life, and sometimes is wraps them into an impossible conundrum.

As for your question, i dont know that it wasnt here forever. it just doesnt make sense to me. how could something just be there. but the god route poses the same question. even if god did create the universe, how was god there? And How do you know that the universe was or wasnt there forever?
Basically, to sum your point up, if you say a god can be here without being created, we can say that the universe can be here without being created.

Yes. Young children believe in Santa Claus. If you ask them why, they wouldn't have a reason, they just do. The only difference between Santa and god is that you kept on believing in god, never realizing that he is made up, just like Santa is.

No, the Nazis weren't just told that. They acted upon it, and they hated the Jews because of it. Just like, as you have just proved, you have anger towards me because of your beliefs. And no, I'm not just being told that science is correct. I've had this argument a million times. Every scientific fact that I have been taught in school has been provable - ether through labs or my own experimentation on my own time. What if I don't believe in the Combined Ideal Gas Laws? Get a balloon and a candle and test them. What if I don't believe in the existence of electrons? Get a cathode ray and test them. What if I don't believe in the light spectrum? Get a spectrometer and test them. Now it's your turn. How do your beliefs differ from those of a ****?
I don't mean to be rude, but you're an arrogant fool. Not only did you insult many people on here by saying that, but you made yourself look like a complete idiotic asshole. But really, would God allow his wonderful creations, after living a happy life with little to no 'sins', to suffer an eternity for not believing in him? To me, this gives me all the reason not to follow Christianity, for it is condemning to anyone who doesn't want to live their life by a book, that's supposedly written by the word of God.

Yes, people are stupid enough to believe anything, especially if they want that something to be true. Like god. "True reason" does not point to the fact that there is a god. Reason and the idea of god are two diametrically opposing concepts, which has been shown again and again. "Scientists prove it" and I understand the evidence.
I'm a little confused here. you posted earlier and someone responded by saying that belief in god was like belief in santa claus and you took that as an insult. You then proceeded to complain about people insulting your beliefs when at NO point did anyone directly attack your beliefs. At that point you immediately decided to post said satan/rape comments that were specifically directed at the person you were replying to. Now you're saying that the discussion needs to be "open...WITHOUT completely attacking someone's beliefs," which is a direct contradiction of your previous action. If you're going to demand something of others, you better damn make sure you do it yourself. Golden rule gets you a long way in life regardless of whatever religion you do or don't believe in.

Well they used some guns and overs and or gas chambers nothing real high tech and sciencey about the halocaust just some random items were used to have a large groups of people killed they could have only used guns but they would have ran out of ammunition. <thats why Germans didn't always use them they just worked them to death and or mass murdered them with the least amount of resources needed. They tried to be efficient and sadly they were. They easily could have commited the same atrocities with out science just slower and over a longer time consuming lots of man power and resources. It also would have taken the allied forces longer to stop the nazis if we had inferior technology.
Poisonous gas > Hard work True, they would've still died, but it would've taken A LOT longer... and by this time, these captured people could have easily started a rebellion and/or could have overthrown the **** soldiers.
