A possible counter-argument to that could be this simple paragraph quotation: But here's my slightly more original argument. So you say that having easier ways to Forge promotes more people who aren't as dedicated to Forge more often, with more effectiveness, more neatness, and more creativity? Somehow I don't see how that's a negative.
I didn't mean it quite like that... I'm still really glad that forging got easier. But lets just say that some of us got really good at minimalizing a patient's pain, then anesthetics were created a week later. We would still be glad that our patients don't need to feel as much pain. I really hope I'm not sounding like a jerk, I'm having trouble typing my view, but it's a bitter sweet for me.
All of you are complaining about this making forging almost something that anyone can pick up, but I promise you will simply make all of the good maps better. It is still very difficult to do, and only the most dedicated forgers will use this for quite a while. It will be like normalgeomerging; It took forever for the general puplic to start actually using it (I still dont very often.) In fact, you could make a case that almost 90% of people who know how to geomerge are on forgehub. Now, take into how small the population of halo 3 players is that care about forging. Yeah. It should be some time before this is used for anything other than special cases when somebody needs to make something OMG awesome. Also, just when will tylyr1 get his new technique out? The world may never know...
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG this is awesome. too bad it only works for OLN, so for anything else you have to do it normally. But, this could be especially helpful with difficult merges seen on some maps.
Dont overestimate it. It still takes a huge amount of skill to do properly, because you really do have nothing to brace with. That makes it difficult. Dont underestimate it. tylyr1 may or may not have found a way to get it to work with all objects, and thats epic. It could turn this into OMGFORGE week.
I'm the only one complaining. But now that you put it like that I'm totally for it (before I was only partway for it).
dude you're both the luckiest forger ever and also a freaking genius, it won't help interlocking as much, but geo-merging and forging above the ground is gonna be like ten times easier, were gonna need some virtual buckets for this stuff. PS: rifte gifle how did you just post that vid randomly like that, I got the code now: [bungievid] [/ bungievid] though how did you activate a vid by this code, please tell me by editing your post or sending me a private message, I'd really appreciate it, thx.
I got the new tutorial uploaded to youtube... It is much easier to make the OLN objects no-clip, but once you get the immoveable object dummying down, it is a piece of cake. And the best part is, no starting new rounds!!! yay!!! Well here is the video: YouTube - How to make any Immoveable Object No-Clip
tylyr you're my new hero. It was roche for some reason i cant remember but now its you. Praise be to tylyr
Hey Tylyr. In the dummying objects vid it says you cant be host to do the glitch. But in your vid it says u must be host to do the glitch. Clarification?
The video before is regarding the "levitation" glitch. Any player can dummy objects, including host. But yeah I had that same confusion.
This is epic. Only a few questions and they may be dumb or they may have been asked but its a 16 page thread i didn't read every post and am very curious. 1. If you pick the item back up after setting it down will it still be able to do this or must you start the process over? 2. When you go to place another object near or on top of it will just merge itself into the clipless one? making it harder to line things up? 3. It will have no effect on players correct? you can still walk on the item in a game?
