I have not had the time to put RocketDock or anything on, and as I'm going to college I need it functional, not pretty.
I once told you all i would release a wallpaper pack of ultimate win. I hereby fulfill my promise. Here: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/graphics-arts/83585-haris-wallpaper-pack.html
ZOMGGG, my wallpaper is in the main title Thanks Hari, what are the main resoloutions? EDIT: Nvm, I downloaded it, nice selection, not too sure about the XP wallpapers but idk. Needs moar 1440x900. +rep for uploading that EDIT 2: New desktop with handy Rocketdock: EDIT 3: My mac arrived, here is my slightly altered desktop, still figuring out the OS:
My secondary monitor is mainly for monitors, chat windows, Ventrilo and reference pictures when I sketch. Uses Rainmeter + Object Dock The wallpaper is a self-modified version of this since the original was too bright for the monitors.
Sure, I'm going to release a wallpaper pack at some point, I have over 2GB of them >< Spoiler What are your specs? And my newest desktop, which I am immensly proud of, I had a moment of inspiration, I love my now playing on the left, I made it myself :] All of my skins are modified to my taste also, such as the network activity monitor.
Very nice, really like the minimalism. Am I correct in assuming that is rainmeter 1.0? As far as the sepcs: Spoiler Manufacturer: Custom Built Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.8GHz OC Memory: 6134MB RAM Hard Drive: 1 TB HDD + 640 GB RAID 0 Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 2-Way SLI Monitor: Acer H243HX Sound Card: Speakers (2- Realtek High Definition Audio) Speakers/Headphones: Logitech 2.1 Stereo Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse Mouse: Razer Copperhead + Wacom Intuos 3 Pen Tablet Mouse Surface: Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.lh_sp2rtm.090410-1830) + Windows 7 RC Motherboard: Asus P6T Computer Case: Antec Nine Hundred Two Copy/pasted from Xfire
Very nice spec, mine was home built also. Could you post your spec here by any chance? I was thinking of an i7 but the ~£300 saving of a Phenom was too much to dismiss. I regret it now as it overclock so poorly. Thanks for the comment on the desktop, and yes it is Rainmeter 1.0, rev 163. Nice to meet someone who has a real interest in PC Hardware like myself. :]
O.O thats alot of games. Where'd you get the cool custom icon for halo CE and how did you manage to apply it in 7? Also, wallpaper plawks.
I have tones of games, always downloading new ones, that's about 30% of them on my desktop =P I made all the icons myself, pretty simple stuff. Halo hasn't not worked for me, dunno what your problem is if you have any. I am using 64bit if that makes any difference whatsoever. I use a console command on the shortcut to make it run in 1680x1050 though.
An i7 is 4 cores, not 8 CPU's... rofl Oh, and don't put your fan speed on 100. Your GPU will die faster then you like. Personally, mine idles at 30 and when playing games I set to 60/65 and it still stays under 50c full load. Really no reason to crank to 100, unless of course you're trying to make your video card die.
Yeah, I realize this but apparently xfire and the ASUS AI Suite detect each thread as its own core. This is probably why it says "8 CPUs" since the i7 brings back hyperthreading. I don't trust the auto-fan controls on the graphics cards though full blast does seem kind of overkill. I'll probably tone it down some once I get back to the university. Oh, and here's a screencap of my laptop's desktop
