NB: MLG did not create any of these maps, and they are in no way associated, designed, or built by MLG. These maps are purely community driven. Welcome everyone to the Halo 3 Forge Forum Map Pack! After 5 long months of planning, forging and testing, the map pack has finally arrived. It all started with a forum post from theseventhstar, suggesting that the forum should work together to make a collaborative map pack. It quickly gained support like all these ideas do, with many people offering suggestions on how to do it. Fritzster took it to the next level, creating a thread and pretty much offering solid reasons why it should be done. It all spiralled out from there – and here we are today, despite all the logistical issues and doubters, with 12 quality Sandbox and Foundry maps. Well, I don’t want to be typing out too much. Onto the maps!!! You can find all of the maps on the H3FF Map Pack Filshare, located Here Unreal Design iTs NeXn ~ xZonKeD ~ xPurPLe ~ Just Nicka Download Reflux Here Description: Reflux is a remake of the popular Foundry map Xyience. This time round, it is set in the Sky Bubble fixing nearly ever issue the map had first time round. Combining beautiful aesthetics and clean forging with a map that has proven itself, Reflux is one of the strongest maps in the map pack. Best Gametypes: Slayer, MLG Sky Ball, King of the Hill Supported Gametypes: Slayer, MLG Sky Ball, King of the Hill, MLG One Flag Screenshots: Download Reflux Here Download Opalescent Here Description: Opalescent, formerly known as 'Jujyfruits', is an Asymmetrical map in Sandbox's Crypt based off of Halo 2's Ivory Tower. It combines several elements of Ivory Towers design (the most noticeable being the center) as well as adding in several new elements of its own. Spanning the full size of the Crypt, Opalescent plays well for both Slayer and Hill. Best Gametypes: Slayer, King of the Hill Supported Gametypes: Slayer, King of the Hill, Oddball Screenshots: Download Opalescent Here Download Vexxum Here Description: Vexxum is a 2-base map set in Foundry, inspired by Hang em’ High. Vexxum has some of the best and cleanest forging you will see on a map – but gameplay is equally as good. Being one of the only two Foundry maps and one of the extremely few asymmetrical maps that play well for Multi Flag, Vexxum is sure to impress. Best Gametypes: Capture the Flag (Narrows settings), Slayer Supported Gametypes: Capture the Flag (Narrows settings), Slayer, MLG One Flag Screenshots: Download Vexxum Here Forge Bandits xSethiroth87x ~ HezbollaHector ~ DarkIing Ninja ~ RTE Inhale Download Classified Here Description: Can’t wait for Heretic? Well Classified is certainly to keep you happy offering a style of play similar to the map that many have come to love, Midship. A solid 2-base design set in The Crypt complimented with unique angles and a multitude of tactical jumps, this map certainly won’t disappoint. Best Gametypes: Capture the Flag (Onslaught settings), Oddball Supported Gametypes: Slayer, Capture the Flag (Onslaught settings), Oddball, MLG Neutral Bomb Screenshots: Download Classified Here Penguin Mafia Phuria ~ iLimey ~ Suhport ~ BFP Sticky v3 ~ ScarecrowXavier Download Coalition Here Description: A 2-base map set in the Crypt, Coalition has been described my many as “Pit-Ship”. It takes the 2-base design and offers just some simple changes – and the result is a map that plays fantastically. Coalition is a must-have for any player and is easily worth the download. Download Electron Here Description: Some of you might recognise this map; some of you might recognise it doubly. Electron is the best Warlock remake around – and offers just as good, if not better, gameplay. The previous version of Electron won Forgehub’s Forgotten Treasures contest, however this version has had many, many changes made to make MLG play even better. Best Gametypes: Capture the Flag (Onslaught settings), Slayer Supported Gametypes: Capture the Flag, Slayer, Oddball Screenshots: Download Electron Here Download Providence Here Description: Providence is an asymmetrical, 6-base (yes, 6-base) map set in the Sky Bubble of Sandbox. The closest possible comparison to draw would be to Guardian, but the map doesn’t feel or play like it. Sporting a giant tree and some giant hills, Providence is easily one of the strongest maps in the map pack. Best Gametypes: Slayer, King of the Hill Supported Gametypes: Slayer, King of the Hill, MLG Sky Ball Screenshots: Download Providence Here Download Tesno Here Description: Tesno is another Sky Bubble map, but this time draws inspiration from Narrows. Although Bottom Mid is a striking resemblance to Narrows, the rest of map is vastly different – featuring two intricate bases and two towers. Frantically fighting over middle control is a feature of Tesno – and throw in 2 Flags in each base and you have a map that plays fantastically. Best Gametypes: Capture the Flag (Narrows settings), Slayer Supported Gametypes: Capture the Flag (Narrows settings), Slayer Screenshots: Download Tesno Here Geometry Whores Alt 0191 ~ Baron Forges ~ l LiGhTz l ~ PulseKiller ~ iNumbbb Download Cynosure Here Description: Cynosure is an asymmetric MLG styled map built in the skybubble. Being one of the first MLG maps to be released on Sandbox, Cynosure has gone through countless changes to reach the stage it is at now. While it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing map, Cynosure's gameplay is sure to impress as that is the map's main feature. The map supports mid range battles and virtually eliminates the short range battles which many look at as Halo 3's biggest flaw. The map has been balanced time and time again to ensure that the map plays out so that the best team will win. If you are looking for a map with great gameplay, Cynosure is the map for you. Best Gametypes: King of the Hill, Slayer Supported Gametypes: King of the Hill, Slayer Screenshots: Download Cynosure Here Download Saviour Here Description: Saviour is the second Foundry map in the bunch, but it certainly does not disappoint. A healthy mix of clean forging and a nice asymmetric design with multiple floors giving players the option to patrol the top or lurk the bottom makes Saviour a very solid map to play. Best Gametypes: Slayer, Oddball Supported Gametypes: Slayer, Oddball, King of the Hill Screenshots: Download Saviour Here Download Hexogen Here Description: Hexogen is a unique two way symmetrical map located in the Sky bubble, designed to play Team Slayer and Capture the Flag. The map has been tweaked to promote teamwork, and as such not pushing as a team could very easily get you overwhelmed. While the map has a stark resemblance to Narrows, it gives a completely different style of play while still having the same feel. Fans of Narrows, Onslaught, and amazing sniping angles will feel right at home on this map. Shapeshifters Ninja Shizoku ~ Itz Adrenaline ~ z CombartCarl z Download Zaurak Here Description: I’m on a boat! Are you? Zaurak shows that not every MLG map has to conform to gameplay and aesthetic standards. The key inspiration on this map is the Boat itself, surrounded by a multitude of piers. Zaurak pushes the door wide open of what you would come to expect and shows that there really is a lot of creativity expressed in MLG maps. Best Gametypes: Slayer, MLG Sky Ball, King of the Hill Supported Gametypes: Slayer, MLG Sky Ball, King of the Hill Screenshots: Download Zaurak Here That’s it everyone! I guess that’s it. Go out, download the maps that you like best and most of all, play them! There is just that special feeling for a forger when you look at Party Details of someone, to see that they are playing your map (or maybe that’s just me =/). Show your support; mention it to your friends; put your favourite map in your sig; recommend a map for v7; have a go at Forging yourself! Anything that shows you appreciate the map pack and support it is immensely welcome. And keep a lookout on the H3 Forge Forum. There will be more quality maps outside this map pack. There could even be another map pack in the distant future. You can visit the H3FF Map Pack on mlgpro.com here, or view the article on mlgpro.com here
Just want to say, even if you are not a fan of MLG gametypes you should really check out some of these maps, I have logged at least 40 games per map and I must say. These are some of the best maps I have played on Sandbox, bringing more unique gameplay to MLG styled maps(There was even an SMG on providence for a while, and it played wonderfully).
I agree with Rehnx. These maps have raised the bar for future MLG maps. There are some remakes, old maps, and certainly some creative, new maps. Download every single one of them, you most definitely won't be disappointed if you like competitive, MLG maps. I'm TheSeventhStar and I approve this message.
Okay, besides the fact that all these maps are epically awesome and featureworthy... is there any reason that you post them all in an unofficial map pack without any pattern whatsoever and release them this way. First off, do you have permission to do so, and second off, why post them if they're not yours?
This started on MLGpros Forge forum as an idea to get good MLG sandbox maps in time for v7 testing. This is an "official" MLG forge community map pack, and is even on the front page of sites like HBO, Bungie.net, and MLGpro(In fact, I would say this is the most official map pack to date..). Bob is essentially the "leader" so to speak and all the forgers are 100% fine with him posting their maps(As thats the idea of a map pack..Its not a forgers map pack but our little communities top forgers releasing one together..There isn't any egos involved in this.)
I have plenty of permission to do so, since I organised the damn map pack. Credit is given everywhere to all the maps. If I didn't have permission to post it, why would I go to the trouble of recognising each map creator and type out a 20,000 character post?
This is, without a doubt, the best map pack I have ever laid eyes on. Although I have only played on Reflux, Electron, Saviour and Cynosure, I can tell that I will have the same amount of utmost enjoyment when playing on the others. A truly amazing set of MLG maps. Great job to all creators.
Finally we have some REAL MLG maps posted! Maybe this will provide some inspiration to some of the forgers here. Everyone pat themselves on the back, we put a lot of hard work into this.
This is pretty Beastly, alot of these maps stray from your gay ass regular design of oh blue here red there. I love it, im an mlg fanatic haha, well i'v slacked a little but its nice to finally see a bunch of really good mlg maps, Some of these better make mm if not i will protest bungie.
You clearly arnt an MLG addict if you think that Bungie picks what maps make the MLG playlist. Anyways, nice job all the forgers, and i hope this gets the attention it deserves.
What is the point of posting these all in one thread? Aren't the individual threads made by the original creators enough?
As has been said, the maps were not created and then compiled into a map pack as an afterthought; rather, the H3FF Map Pack project was created, and each individual map was planned from there. As such, this is the official thread for each map, with any other map specific threads merely being ways for the creators to get their maps out early. Moreover, this compilation allows people who do not wish to scroll through the endless list of competitive maps and download those which look good (and of course, looks can be deceptive), to access some of the best maps out there incredibly easily. Oh, and does anybody have a link to the individual Forgehub threads?

Yeah i know how the system works and look what your stuck with, freaking gay ass Onslaught and Amplified.
I think this answers it. This thread was created first. The only thread posted before this was Cynosure - and Reflux/Vexxum were posted after this. It is a community effort by the whole of the MLG Forge Forum community. I guess the closest analogy would be the 1v1 tournament right now. Just imagine instead of a tournament, they put all the maps into a map pack. All the best from FH contribute to make 1v1 maps and release them - just like all the best from the MLG Forge Forum have gotton together and released them.
I'm going to go ahead and say this before anyone else does... "Indavidabl threyds"/"u rnt teh makr of dem" Now, can we please stop asking why a map pack is posted together and get onto talking about the maps themselves? What will be done about Savior since Ivory doesn't forge anymore? Just no feedback for that?
As soon as I saw this on the Bungie Blog and realised it had been organised by you Bob, I downloaded every map. As always, they are absolutely brilliant. Some of the smoothest forging I have ever seen in these maps. I especially like Reflux as I have been playing on the old Foundry version since it was released and it's good to see it updated for the better Two others that stood out for me were Hexogen for its fantastic layout and Tesno (I think?) due to the rare inclusion of the plasma rifle.
