I tryed it ,and its a goo technique,But is longer, and less accurate then current mathods. I dought I'll use it,since I dont build on sandbox, but Im sure this will come in handy for others.

Five stars for understanding my fail of a five minute post and interpreting the little error I couldnt account for. This is exactly how to make it work, I just always use the sky bubble prep so I never knew about moving multiple of the object. This is also why it didnt work on foundry (which it does if you follow this.) You get the credit for making it work 100% of the time.

I think whats going to happen is that someone with power will take the time to make a really easy to read version of the guide, then just put it in forging 101. Also, you didnt give any credit to Fritzer who ironed out all the little problems.

    Tried It

Okay I just tried it. It was very easy to do and it worked consistently. This is a great technique to do many simple types of geomerging with no braces and in real time. I will be using this alot.

The only limitations are the depth of the merges(only about half way into the ground) which rule out easy carpeting. Also, because the objects don't interact with any other objects, precision interlocking(like for ramps) is tough because you can't use any guides. It's especially useful for the unusual shapes in the forge canvas that are tough to brace with older methods.

Overall, great discovery that will lead to many new map structures.

Oh wow, thanks. I never excpected ths to be so huge, and I definately never expected you. First map I saw on forgehub was your Attic map, and it inspired me to start forging. Thanks again, and to all of the community, and once again to Fritzer who made this totally successful. Hopefully this will make forging new, more interesting, and easier for everyone. -Have fun Forging!-

Edit: Hey, still need someone to make a video for it so that those of you who cant follow directions acurately can just go watch a video. The sooner this happens the better. Also, how many other people are amazed that this has almost 2000 veiws and 70 posts in just over 24 hours? It makes me feel important.

I tried it for about 3 hours and it still didn't work.

    -.-

oh well, I guess it's a good find, and yes it'll sorta revolutionize forge, but it won't revolutionize gameplay.

im confused, i followed the tut you posted exactly about 8 different times with a differne t object each time, i just can seem to replicate the results, on the other hand, this could be a hoax, he could have just modified the objects properities, seeing as nobody else could do it, that or he's not very good at describing things.

You need to get a proffesional article written about this and get it approved by the staff to be put into Forging 201/101. I can help with that as I am a good writer. Message me if you are interested.

wow this is amazing i tried it and it worked first time the only problem i can see is that the object wont geo or interlock more than about half way into anything.
however it can just pss straight through the skybubble grid.
gj yoyo and thanks fritz for cleaning it up

I have yet to make this work properly, and it's frusterating me, lol.

Start from a canvas that has all default items placed - Okay
Go to an item you want to use - Block tall
Move at least 3 of the same items off the spawn - did it
Make 2 of the 3 items moved set to spawn at start = no and max the run time min. - okay...
    Restart round - easy.
Wait for the items to refresh themselves after 30 seconds - After thirty seconds it refreshes but doesn't actually appear. The teardrop becomes grabable, so I assumed to grab and hold that... and then I wait, and wait and wait... what am I doing wrong?

You'll see them pop back up; grab one and don't let go
Wait for the geometry to refresh itself again
The geometry will then quickly duplicate itself to the geometry you are holding
You now have a glitched geometry item that you can easily interlock AND geomerge
Move to desired place on the map by carefully eyeballing and leveling it
Press "A" to let go no need to save and quit, round over etc.

Edit: Important piece of information needed for tutorial.

If any of a specific peice's respawn rate values are set and "NEVER" the glitch will not work. (I.E. If you're going to glitch a huge block, make sure none of the huge blocks respawn values are never.

I am almost positive that is what was messing me up, as soon as I changed the other block off of Never, it worked. Probably need some verification though.

To anyone using the OLNBC canvas, check all your respawn times to make sure their not at never. No offence to the author. (which I cannot remember the name of atm)

Some other thoughts I've had as to how useful this glitch is in terms of accuracy, I don't have a second controller for my xbox handy right now, but when the object is in the ghost state, do people walk on it, or fall through? that would definetely be the way to test for bumps.

What would happen if we were to have a block push us as the monitor through the geometry while holding the ghosted block? I'm sure we would still die momentarily, but would it glitch further into other peices, that could be tested and possibly used.

EDIT: False, I was doing something incorrectly. It doesn't matter if there are any objects on "never"

I wonder if there is a way to possible speed the process up a bit, if it's possible to get the same result with a different method... because I on average have to wait about 60-90 seconds to get a peice ready to be SUPERMERGED. New term? huh? :)

    Ok start up your game...
A Stacked Canvas should be your map. To be safe use the 'Foman' variants of the skybox or sandbox- BOTH work...

Next what item do you want to use? WALL DOUBLE
So grab 3 of those, and place em down next to eachother away from their spawn...
Set 2 of their place at starts to 'no' and on the second one, set the RUN TIME MINIMUM to the same as the RUN TIME MAXIMUM. For example
    RUN TIME MINIMUM : 10
    RUN TIME MAXIMUM : 10

    Now Start a new round...

    Wait 30 Seconds
Now go to where you originally grabbed the items from, they may of spawned there,

You'll notice them as they will be top of the pile... Now grab 1, and for about 60 seconds fly it around the map and rotate it. If nothing happens. Drop it, and grab the other one, and repeat the same step.

    It will then clone.
