Well, It's been good, ForgeHub. I'm leaving forge. Yea, hold in your tears of sadness/joy... I'm so awesome that you should be crying right now... lol ..But seriously.. forge kinda sucks now. Reasons why I'm leaving: This site's initial idea was meant for forgers, not testers or players. Sure, it's a good place to share ideas, but honestly, most of the population on this site doesn't care about other people's creations. Example: 2,792 views. 44 replies. Seriously, how is it that only 1.58% of all those viewers actually took the time to reply? And thus, I don't gain full recognition or satisfaction for making maps. I simply get about 10-20 comments from 10-20 random people, then I feel like I made a good map for nothing. It's boring. I had the overwhelming desire to forge in the beginning, but now I feel the shimmer has worn off. It's tedious and uninteresting. Diversions: school, friends, movies, shows, music, sports, actually PLAYING halo, etc.. But they no longer feel like diversions. I'd rather do any of these at any time than forge for even 10 minutes. Weird friend requests. I get about 1-2 FR a day from really weird kids who think I'm amazing at life. No, I am not amazing at life. I'm good at forging on Halo 3... life is different from video games. That about sums it up. You won't be seeing anymore of my maps or map walkthroughs. I've moved on to H3 videos which holds my interest for the time being. Okay, you can let it all out. I know you hate to see me leave. Only knew you briefly, if that, but its sad to see a prolific forger leave even if it is for good and justified reasons. I wish you sucess in whatever else you choose to do in life. However, lets just say I won't be surprised if I see the name ER1CO amongst those viewing the forum, pop up every now and again.
K. I don't really care. Do what you will. There's still plenty of forgers out there and what not. Forgehub's main focus is still for forged maps regardless of what you think. People have always left comments like "nice map, 5/5". Forgers shouldn't care about recognition or satisfaction for their map. Instead, they should make a map solely to make them and better them. I wouldn't say you're bored of forging, more like you've lost the will to forge. Forging is (IMO) always boring to do it's just people have a will to forge it. Thus, you've lost that will. Don't worry though, it's only natural to lose it. Your last two reasons are pretty much valid so I've got nothing against them. And with that, if you're going to make H3 videos, you can post them here still...
Pretty much agree ^^ With me though I have a lot going on in my mind and forge is not a very high priority, but I still find some time to give forge some love. I go through these spurts with forge. When I get into make a map I go crazy and forge it till I like it. When I'm done with the project, I'm burned out from forge. Not to mention I have a baby on the way and my life is changing for the better. Take the good with the bad. Their is pain in my life, but I choose to look past it. Anyways, don't forget to check under your bed when you go to sleep. Forge might be their, waiting for you to close your eyes. and then pounce on you and slap you silly for neglecting her.
I know how you feel. I put alot of effort into the map I released a bit ago in the Aesthetic Maps and got little attention and replies even though most of the replies say it looks good. I think I might quit forging too.
Guys.. Forge because YOU want to forge. Not because you want to get a bunch of attention on the forum. Forge is a great tool. If you are burnt out on it, take a break. You don't have to sell your copy of Halo 3. Keep it in your collection and maybe one day you will be happy that you have the ability to come back to it. If you forge to try to get a bunch of DL's and a bunch of comments, I can see how you can easily be let down. I always forged because it was something that I enjoyed doing. I received a lot of recognition by chance. I didn't look for it. If you are leaving forge, then that is ok. I really don't think a lot of us will really be upset that you are quitting.
^^ This. Tbh, the topic really doesn't deserve a thread. Its not like you're the first person ever on FH to quite forging. No offense of course. Forge because you love the satisfaction, not the attention. Anyway, good luck with your future endeavors in video-making.
not another goodbye thread. This is just another plea for attention like apparently your forging was. If you look for attention, you are least likely to get it. Forge because you want to like Dream said.
This is my advice. Don't care about anyone elses opinions on the maps you make. You WILL be the hardest judge of your map. Don't build the map for everyone else. **** the world. Build the map because you, yourself, want to play on it.
this here is truth. build maps that you can enjoy because i guarantee you that if you make maps so that they can be appreciated by others, you will be disappointed.

ITT: Butthurt OP who only Forge to get attention. I do exactly what you do, DREAM. I only Forge because I enjoy doing it, not because I want to be revered as a God by a bunch of annoying twelve year old pricks.
why quit forging? I make my maps because i want to make something to what i like. Most maps i see on forge hub are excellent, but when i play them the forger didn't do the weapon spawns, spawn points, barriers (so you don't fall), and objective points. Well i didn't forge in a while because ideas were not coming to me. After you quit forging you'll have an idea that might be the next best thing in halo. Ex: The Halo on sandbox. A very popular game right now. There are a lot of remakes of it some are even on this site.
