Why do Bungie Favorites suck so much. Bungie favorites should be godly content by the community, not a piece of crap. Recently I saw a picture that is just a group of Spartans on a rock... That is in no way appealing to anybody. And I feel as if there is a clan that dominates Bungie favorites:TW. It's as if anyone can make it into Bungie favorites but the worse make it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but do people get recon for getting onto Bungie favorites. If they do, they don't deserve it for some half-ass map or lame picture. And same goes for the videos, if a running riot can make it, why not a massive multi kill.Please reply if you agree or disagree. This actually made Bungie Favorites?
Bungie Favourites is, and has for some time, been chosen by the communities that get the Community Spotlight. (Save around four slots each week, which are chosen by Bungie) Going by that, it's obvious that the screenshot is of the group that got the Spotlight. And no, people don't get Recon for Bungie Favourites.
Bungie favorites is chosen by the communities that make Bungie's Community Spotlight. Of course the communities are going to use the bungie favorites spots to advertise there community with groupd photos and what not. And recently, I have found that bungie favs is improving. You can't blame bungie for the bungie fav choices brah.
what he ^^said you used to get recon for it when Bungie chose them but now you just get alot of dls for your peice of crap although sometimes the groups that chose the favs are smart and put up some things people will actually like but usually it is crap. One of my maps is going on Bungie favs in a few weeks or so and it is one of my worst maps
The maps in Bungie favorites are usually abysmal except for occassional gems (Pivotal, Avarice). I stopped looking at the screenshots last year, and never really cared enough to download the film clips or gametypes. They should double the ammount of slots per catagory to 10 so they can do their little "community spotlight" and still have room for quality work.
Well thanks for informing me about who picks the crap in Bungie favorites. I didn't know and now I know who to blame.
i hate those pics. i could get a bunch a spartans on a rock and take a pic of them. its pretty stupid
I do agree with you on how the pictures are crap. Much like when Forge Cafe had a picture of a monitor on Sandbox... no effect or anything, I was just thinking "THAT IS THE BIGGEST PILE OF BS EVAR!!!!" Instead of the Community spotlight people choosing, Bungie should look at that community that was chosen, and pick their favorite files by that group- if they dont like any, they pick a random picture. I used to be in the same ship as you. I would see generic shots, and claim that the shot could be taken in any custom/match made game. There's exactly no significance in it whatsoever. But I realized that being a certain group receives Bungie Favorites, they have their choice of what screen shots are published onto Bungie Favorites. Now they may not be exactly appealing to everyone, but it's the reward the certain group got, and should at least be respected for receiving Bungie Favorites. If Forgehub is to be selected next, I don't expect stellar pictures, for were are a Forging community, our talent is in Forge, not screen shots. Not saying that a respectable picture could be produced, I don't hold Forgehub accountable for terrible pictures (Which is all opinion anyway, being it's art). With that said, rarely groups chosen pertain to screen shots specifically. So, say you lead a group chosen by Bungie. You had to choose screen shots. Now would you go put up your own 'amazing' pictures, or have pictures featuring group members, and let your community initially lead what pictures would be chosen? Furthermore, how would you like for people claiming the pictures 'suck' and lack talent. Just respect who's chosen, even if certain files don't pertain to you. Finally, who gives a ****. It's not getting anywhere flaming pictures. They're chosen, they choose. Nothing to do.
i heard that bungie favs were maps that get over 10,000 dls doesnt matter if theyre shyte or not and people only get recon for new concepts never seen before shishkas obv never looking forgehubs best of forge
No- Bungie chooses a group of people and they select their files whether or not it has a ton of DLs. It just ends up getting 10,000 DLs because people download the maps to see them (and delete after seeing crap for most of them) and there are a ton of people that just DL the pics for no reason... Also- I do believe Forgehub was already selected as a community spotlight months ago. I remember maps like Cave Freaks, video tutorials and weird forge glitches on Bungie Favorites...
ya i was thinking that too.. there are spartans on a rock .... didnt really make alot of effort for the pic but y bungie favourites? ive seen alot of other better screenshots that make me jizz( jk ) and they dont make bungie favs?
