Created By: Zombievillan Recommend Players: 1v1 Recommended Gametype: Conflict 1v1 Conflict, Round 4 (Winners Bracket) Antagon is a symmetrical map built in the skybubble of Sandbox. One of the few symmetrical maps of the tournament, it has had quite a journey. Antagon was a map discovered in it's infant stage by a few of the staff members. Realizing the potential of the map, these staff members approached the great forger with a proposition. This proposition was to mold the workings of this larger map into an incredible 1v1 map. The Forger, and all of his talent, toiled for endless hours and crafted a masterpiece, and that masterpiece is Antagon. Players who want to thrash the sniper and trash with their BR's are going to snuggle right into Antagon's cozy stone encased planes. Built from the ground up to be able to hold a doubles match, Antagon is able to throw down a hefty sniper game, and pull out some longer range BR sightlines. Antagons multi-leveled design draws quite a bit of confusion from the enhanced radar. Coupled with the intelligent use of SMG's and a Plasma Rifle, the central areas of the map can hold a few surprises for those planning to keep the action at a distance. Antagon is the perfect example of a classic Halo 3 showdown. Good Luck to all players in Round Four. Nice map setup for the next round. Cant wait to try it out with my friends. That little tunnel structure made with the y intersection is really creative. The woodwalls dont really distinguish this map from others, but its a nice effect. Does the map use tincups? No? That's pretty cool!
i wa just talking to zanitor and zombievillen about this. Great job man, this looks as epic as crown of flies.
I really hope to win this round so that i can go onto the next round and play you chrst. This map looks cool and from what i've seen already i have a feeling it will play well too. Congrats to zombie for the feature, keep up the good work.
It was a blast with insane while playing against the running riot. Insane fell off, and I lawled and now hopefully I can get some warm ups on it, seeing as I didn't make the tourney regestration. Quick note, stay with your br and the plasma rifle, it worked for me.
Walked around this map yesterday. I love the pathways and how unique going around the map feels. Congrats on yet another feature, Zombie. Well deserved. Can't wait to try this out.
As usual, Zombievillain is at his finest, this time though it is for our 1v1 contest. The map looks as great as all the other maps released previously for the contest. Ofcourse, I'm sure the gameplay will be the same.
Is there by any chance an archive of all the 1v1 maps that are being/have been used in the tournament? I havn't been downloading them week by week but I would like to have them all
Penance-Antagon excluding paratroxity so far. Or there are front page posts for each of the rounds that have a few of the maps for the rounds in them.
All the losers bracket maps can be found here. A one-stop shop thread is a good idea, though, just got to think of where to post it.
What happens to the Conflict forum once the tournament is over? Seems like it could be consolidated and stickied with a list of all the maps in Competitive once it's finished. As for Antagon, it's a great map. Besides mine, it was the first one I played on and it was hella fun. Zombie's a really talented forger, and he's got some great ideas going here.
It gets archived out of sight, but yeah, that could be a good way of summarising the best bits into one place once it's done and dusted.
Antagon is great and definately worthy, imo, of the conflict tournament. A great layout and some very clever and clean forging. I can't find anyone, right now, to play a 1v1 with but it does seem a little big for only 2 players, like I said I can't tell you for certain but it does seem that way. Also, I'm not sure if its intentional but the custom power-up is set to 150 sec respawn and not to spawn at the start, I doubt thats a mistake but just in case it is I'm giving you a heads up.
So far, I've liked all of the tournament maps, Antagon included. They each have a different flavor and I feel we have a great variety of maps so far. I've gotten a couple of games on this and it plays well. I'm glad to see it in the tournament.
Thanks alot. Its been tested at least a hundred times, literally, and its size is made up for the long range weapons. 2 snipers, 2 carbines plus your Brs. Oh yeah, the custom powerup is intentionally set to place at start no.
Holy crap, looks awesome as always villan. i love to see smaller maps get a feature, theres just so much more detail. gotta try this one out in 3 weeks when i get mah X-box back :'(
Wow this map looks amazng, the symmetrical layout looks so unique, havnt dl'd yet but will tonight, looking forward to it then I'll rate
it is hard to see the layout by the pictures, and it looks messy. ill dl and edit my post after testing.
